When Tencent dropped the promotional video on the New Year's Day I was sure TLP is going to happen somewhere in 2022. We are heading till the end of the year and still no sign of it ;(

Never going to happen: XZ as an opera singer playing female roles in old China. Impossible for many reasons, but I think 2018-2019 XZ would nail such look with ease.
May happen: I told this before, XZ as some kind of a grey character, like detective/cop who struggles with his own demons like addiction. Little cliche but I never tired of such kind of characters and would like to see him playing one ;)

Even so, his come back should be done more subtly, maybe only implied at the end and not shown in such open way. It would be better and more poetic. But ofc it is mine opinion ;)

I enjoyed it a lot, but I feel like it should ended with Dongfang staying death. I think bringing him back to life ruined the whole impact of the story.
Overall it was really good and I watched it quite fast for a c drama, I often struggle to finish them. The title song also stuck in my mind :)
