I am freshly after reading whole Cixin's Liu trilogy and I must say the series made a good job with depicting the first book! Even though some character's were added (like the journalist) or emphasized (Wang Miao's family, Yang Dong's boyfriend). I adored the actor who played Shi Qiang, he was so spot on, and his relationship with Wang was also more warm and deep than in the book. Both Ye Wenije' actresses did a good job too, even non-Chinese actors (who usually are irritating in such productions) were not bad! I liked how the "Three Body" game looked like, at first I was dissapointed they decided to include Trisolarian chapter in the game, but I thought that it was kinda smart move at the end, since the books never reveals how they looked like, and showing them in the game was only how the game producers imagined them. I was impressed with "Judgement's Day" cutting sequence, it was full of tension and really well-done. Was thrilled to see two glimpses of Luo Ji, the one in the cemetery with Ye (crucial scene) and the other in the end, at the restaurant. Wonder, if they chosen an actor already, or it was just some random guy, since they never showed his face? The only thing that bothered me was the slow pace. I understand they wanted to include as much from the book as possible,though. Looking forward to season two (since the real "fun" begins in "The Dark Forest"). Hope they won't let us wait long for it. I already want to see same cigars that Stanton handed to Da Shi in three seaon somewhere (where Cheng Xin buys ancient cigars :D) I immediately thought it would be a nice touch :)

Oh, do not tell me about the Witcher, as a Pole I am devastated with everything Netflix did to our national treasure :( Ah, Nirvana on Fire, tried to watch this but I did not like it at all ;( The biggest problem for me is those shows do not fully explore XZ potential, since they are too safe, polite and not sexy at all haha.
Well, I am disappointed a little with this drama. I wish they focused on the book material earlier than around 20th episode. Everything before that was basically a fanfiction, though some of it was quite charming (like the beautiful scene with bridge made from branches that grows during happy memories or when Zhu Yan stayed with Shi Ying after his ressurection for 3 days). I thought Zhu Yan meeting Shi Ying as a child was quite useless, as well as making their age gap smaller than in a book. I do like CGI during some moments (like the said bridge scene or the sand monster), but some were badly done (for example how Chongming looked as a bird - perhaps it was for the better that they made a human out of him, his interaction with Grand Priest was quite funny). I do liked Zhu Yan and Shi Ying's chemistry as a master and student, and their relationship when they still did not realize they loved each other. But once they did confess their love, I felt all the passion was gone, as if director was too scared to show any erotic moments between them (where is the scene in the temple?). The scenes I like the most where the one taken straight from the book, especially Zhu Yan's escape from her wedding and Shi Ying's appearance there. Also the ending left me dissatisfied, usually I like sad or bittersweet endings, but here the main pair deserved their happiness and instead they got only more pain...
Why when Fang admited than Hong Jun did not rape her all parents left the room as if it was a bad thing? It was super weird and confusing (as that whole plot). Seriously, who on Earth will let marry his daughter to a guy who was accused of raping her? And thet acted as if they were disappointed that rape did not happen. I am super confused, not to say disgusted a little. Can someone explain it to me?

I wish they could merge serious and fantasy in C-dramas, like GOT for example. I am watching WDB right now and if Xiao Zhan will star only in such shows in the future I do not know how will I take it ;(

I have no idea about the story and the character, but 31 is prime age for most male actors...Do you want to see real teens in such role? Do you realize it requires experience and skills to act good? After 3 years Xiao Zhan said goodbye to Patient no. 5 role. The question is...What now? What can we expect? Will he continue dramas? Or will his adventure with teather pay off and someone will treat him seriously and offer him a good movie?
