Suspense BL? yes please!!! It would be nice to see a BL relationship in a different genre where the BL is secondary...…
Yeah... I hate that xD To me he seemed like 100% bisexual. He never downplayed his love for the girl (like no "I didn't really love her". Like he said it something like "I was already thinking about someone else"). I dunno... he didn't say he was gay ether so I quess I have space to project my own feelings xD. Also like the bisexual tag might cloud my vision. But yeah I too want more different stuff!!D: And this would have been more closer to that if they had more episodes and a better plot for the reminding episodes. Or maybe I'm just givin it too mutch credit.
like imagine if the main lead knew he was bisexual, like in the first place, before anything. I dunno. I think it would explain why he was so casual when telling the girl he liked someone else. Like he was so sure. (also like him asking about his sexuality in the first episode would in this theory be like <.Also I kind of wish the professor would have turned out to be the stalker 'XD. Like he was too sus!! ... It just that this drama had potential to be a really good suspence series and I feel dissapointed ':D... Also like wtf was that ending conflict???? Like who wrote that? Whose idea was that? On that note; did anyone else feel like there was potential scenes missing. Like they wanted this to be longer? Like why was there so many scenes of that man's past lover if there was never going to be any big reason for him to be? Or am I just reading this too deeply? ¨:D ok I might be... The dramas with the most potential make me the most mad. Sorry for the rant (?)':/
Kim Hee Sun?? OMG! Why are you so fine looking in this?? ;___; just wow!! I'm going to die ;_; <3 (I dunno I will just always remeber her bad ass role in Faith but like this is different) (Lol sorry you didn't need me out here falling in love with another woman in a suit... xD)
:D "Kotaki Kyodai to Shikuhakku" also has a wlw story in the end of the series. It's really cute so I just wanted to mention it. It's important part of the plot so I think it can count as a something worth watching. I dunno 'xD (sorry this is so random and you didn't ask for something to add but I just got reminded of it and I had to tell someone ;___; )
Guys, I decided to re-watch the whole show before seeing today's new episode (just cuz I thought I'd appreciate…
if I remember correctly he was holding a fire torch in that painting? Not sure tho? ...I was just laughing so hard at the idea of Yok pointing at a random dude in the painting and suddenly saying that it's clearly him ;__D
Is anyone else noticed how many cuts there is per scene. Or s it just me? In some scenes it feels like every scentence starts with a cut into a different camera location. Is this normal or have I just been watching many slow cut dramas??? ;___;
(ep 5) As much as this series is trying to make us into suspecting really anyone I just can't help but only suspect Tod for some reason xD Maybe he seems too playful about everything >.>' ?
And maybe the white hair has something to do with some immortality/cultivation? Or maybe it's about how older people are more wise = people with while/gray hair are wise?
I don't know if this works under hate-watching, but sometimes thought it you can find something that is SO BAD that it's good. Like you aren't laughing with it you are laughing for it. I do recommend watching something shitty with your friends/family. It just makes hate watching really fun and I feel like then I don't even mind the series/movie being bad (etc) because it brought so much joy when you all screamed at the group of characters who decided to split in the horror setting xD!!
I do see the negative aspect of supporting badly made series/movies. I do want to support people making something good, but also I don't mind the bad ones. It's really complicated xD. On the other hand I kind of see the bad series/movies also in some twisted way making people entertained, but I would hate if it was intended to be that way. But it's also kind of sad if some people drop the industry just because they made one bad movie/series. I believe that people can learn from their mistakes and maybe after people criticize the movie/series someone can really learn from it and create something amazing in the future!! :D
I have once again made an essay and I feel like there is still so much to talk about ':D This was a great article!!
Is this actually that good, or is the rating inflated by hardcore Yibo fans? Don't get me wrong, I like him just…
I'm thinking about the same thing... and this is really sad. It makes me watch less of dramas from popular actors just because I become so skeptical ,-___-,
There is also miniseries made from the same novel Fingersmith (found with the same name). I must say that the series is more sweet and cute. This miniseries version is good if you don't want to witness the sexual abuse part of this story (since the series don't have that). Also in the series the love don't feel as over sexualized (? if that makes any sense). I think I actually prefer the ending in this miniseries (I haven't read the original work). I still kind of enjoy them both in their own way.
(This miniseries is also the reason why the director of The Shape of Water decided to cast Sally Hawkins as the main lead of The Shape of Water)
Lying is so interesting. I kind of wish they would have included something about pathological liars or like how people can lie without realizing. Or like can you change lie into a truth just by really believing in it (kind of like if you believe your drink will make you crazy you can kind of get crazy. Like can you use a placebo effect on yourself?)? I know in this the lying itself wasn't the focus, but I can't help myself from thinking about these things while watching this :o
Also I included some praise in the spoiler down below ~
My favorite crossdressing drama is "The Painter of the Wind (2008)", it even has lowkey wlw romance. I always find it interesting if a woman has been living as a man all her life will she be more comfy in man's clothes and social status, or will she feel like she has been missing out on living her life in woman's clothes and social status (I don't think there will ever be and absolute answer to this, but I like to think about it).
Really nice article, it really got me thinking !!! I find it sad that men being in women's clothes is somehow funny while women in men's clothes can be even seen as powerful. It's like anything feminine is somehow weak... '-__-.
