I agree with your points even though I didn't finish, only at ep 5. Namping was really the weakest link here. That boy can't act, even though he can, I don't see it. And honestly I didn't feel the chemistry at all.

I don't mind that it didn't had those intense kisses like 90% of dramas these days, it doesn't need kisses to be a good drama. It's better with or without it anyway, because they highlighted her fulfilling her dreams and discovering the truth of her own disappearance. The ML kind of holded the FL in a very respectable place that he didn't overstep her boundaries. They weren't open to romantic relationships until they discovered each other's past. So it makes sense why they didn't let romance to be the center stage.
Honestly, romcoms are my favorite. When selecting romcoms, I like the ones which are goofy, not heavy on the head and entertaining overall, and this drama got that. The ageism towards the older actors are very prominent in this industry. Older actors are only casted as moms and dads in a very serious role, but casting those so-called Ajumma and Ajhusshi as the leads for a romcom worked like a charm. Proved that age is just a number. They acted like veterans should, experienced, brilliant and poised. Even though it was a romcom, it blended the thrill with romance and comedy so effortlessly that it kept me on the edge after every episode. Also, loved how they didn't dilute the passion of the FL by highlighting the romance as the main plot. Wholly it was super balanced.
Overall, if you are looking for a romcom that isn't overly sweet and got kick to it, this is for you. 9/10

You didn't understand the desperation she had. It's not like she doesn't feel pathetic for the same reason, it's just she didn't have no other choice. In that moment she's a nobody in the industry, she got her first break in 25 years that didn't want to lose, so she tolerated those harsh criticisms, slaps even though she was technically "seonbae" in front her co-star. Surely it enraged me as well, but I felt more emotional thinking how desperate one has to be to stay relevant in this challenging industry to succeed.
When you hit the rock bottom, it takes time to make that stable place and get people to respect you again. I was surprised to see how they gradually made it happen. She felt the humiliation but still carried on because she gulped down those insults just for the sake of her comeback. Glad ML made it stop as her manager.
