We all sometimes keep forgetting that LSS came from a place where she had already seen TTJ as a ruthless and evil devil god who killed all the immortals yet she chose to be empathetic and kind towards him. Though many times when she saved him, it looked like she's just saving him coz of the mission, she had developed a deep caring for him as well that actually got in the way of her mission.
Remember how she actually thought gambling her chance to nail the spikes in his heart coz she thought he had changed for the better.
However, when XL was killed through puppet spell & when she misunderstood that her grandmother was poisoned by him, She felt betrayed and guilt-ridden over the fact that she gambled on her chance to nail him and strayed away from her mission for an evil person. Then she became mission oriented once again and nailed him. Her plan didn't succeed, thanks to HGS. However, when she learned it was BC who had poisoned Grandma. You can feel her guilt and pain for causing him the pain and she even understood the fact that his love for her became unconditional to the point where he even overlooked the fact that she wanted to poison him. She almost forgot what she owes to the world and only wanted to repay him.
