It's one of the things I like about is that I think part of it is a critique on religions as well. I mean my dad claims to have seen a ghost in the past in the same place as my grandpa and other campers but everyone who has told that story has seen the ghost after a night of drinking.

The cult is actually a lot like a real religion where you have like jesus (an old lady who got abducted) and then clergy and a religion made around it. The leader claims to communicate with aliens as well.
