ikr! the first student! honestly during the first season i was thinking that as the huge ball didn't actually like literally dismember or kill him but kinda swallowed him insdie as a whole, i thought he would become one with that, and will be like a merged alien, and the first season will end with him coming back and attacking the squad leader, while the second season will start with him also becoming part alien XD and the whole thing would revolve around fighting the big ones xD

I just realized that the author of the webtoon was the author of annarasumanara XD i read that one XD they also made it into the drama the musical one with ji chang wook. lol the drama was weird >< but the webtoon was kinda nice and magical XD i remember now i saw this duty after school advertised as from the same author as annarasumanara and thought wow XD but then saw that the whole thing is a complete different genre and the cover wasn't attractive XD so i stopped after 1 chapter XD sorry for a weird backstory XD i was just surprised at my own realization XD

anyway ugh >< but honestly even though yes you can go crazy for the scores and all, but like idk :( it's war, his parents whom he wants to be rich for might not be even alive. ><
it was sooo disgusting when he started kissing the girl >< ew.
and so true it was like the bullies became good people like they were missing the adrenalin in the normal lives, while like their best student lost it.
and super demotivating like you said, that after few months they found a weapon and all is good >< it's like the attack on titan. the main guy almost killed everyone, then they were all alive, and then a few years later some other random country drops a bomb on their country and kills of everyone lol so the whole point of the fight was lost XD

yes i totally agree, it's about time they stop the full on modifications. the drama people, might have thought like "oh lets do an opposite killing, that will shock the readers and will be awesome! and will push our message about not going crazy for exams more, it will be so cool" but the result is they ruined it completely. ><

awwwww i totally understand, there are some actors whose potential gets wasted because of the dramas. :( I have seen only the first Voice for Jang Hyuk, and sadly Sweet Home was the webtoon i really loved to read when it was just coming out so the big plot and character backstory changes that drama team made were a bit sad to watch. So I am not closely familiar with Lee Jin Wook. But i hope he meets a very nice drama soon were he can show his talent and the plot with the characters would be amazing! :) aww that would be so great!

Fair indeed! I don't remember much of the details of the characters anymore, but like i said, it is purely personal preference of characters in general, not actors! The actor was awesome of course, most of the actors always are in my humble opinion. If my character preference offended you or the actor i am sorry! I never wanted to say anything about Lee Jin Wook himself! :) or any other actors of course :)

Well subjectivity is always there in humans. We all like different things. Like i said in the disclaimer above, the review is biased. :) And it is mostly for the fellow webtoon fans.
I personally saw the webtoon's character Wook a certain way, while reading it every week from the day it started. I am not sure where you took that description from, because Wook was not a gangster lol. But also the Wook i saw in the webtoon didn't radiate sweetness, wasn't burnt, wasn't sweaty, he certainly wasn't a gangster by craft even though looked very intimidating like the most stereotypical gangster.
So maybe you you saw a different Wook when reading the webtoon. Or maybe you are referring to the actor who played the character in the drama only. But I am very glad that you like Lee Jin Wook in this role :) Your description of him was very sweet :) I'm also glad my words in the review made you laugh. Have a nice day! :)

i just found your article when i thought of trying more long dramas! i watched father is strange and six flying dragons ongoing and i loved them. six flying dragons is my fav historical drama.
i also watched empress ki and temptation of wife that i didn't like.
then i was in a drama slump for a year. not being able to find anything that can catch my interest. And then i got really busy. I wanted something to watch while working and being ok to not pay attention to it, so i started young lady and gentleman. even though i didn't like the drama itself i liked how it kept me a bit entertained and when i had to focus on work it helped me kinda be relaxed at the same time without me comiting too much to it. I was searching for another one and remember sang youb and sang yi talking about their drama, so i decided to watch once again. but as i kpet searching for more, i show your article and the reasons you describe here are the very reasons i want to watch a long drama now! So thank you so so much! and thank you for the suggestions! <3
