Thanks to @unbeliebubble for hinting that the drama picks up right pace and gets better around episode 9. I've decided to move it back from my drop list to the currently watching list, hoping it won't disappoint me again.
However, I'm still not fond of the second couple. Their relationship seems to revolve too much around their eagerness to jump into bed, which I find unappealing. The female lead of this subplot started off as a strong and independent character, eager for freedom and adventure, even changing her identity to explore the world. Her introduction was promising—bold, funny, and full of life. But now, she constantly needs a hero to save her, as if she’s become helpless. It feels like her attraction to the hero is less about love and more about experimenting with something new, as if he is just another novelty in her sheltered life. Her affection doesn’t come across as genuine love, and her behavior feels more forced than funny. At times, it almost gives the impression of her being a prostitute, which undermines her character’s initial charm.
On the other hand, the story of the first couple is on track, and I'm enjoying it. Their plot, along with the treasure hunt, has been engaging and feels like the heart of the drama. Honestly, this show could have been just as compelling, if not better, without the second couple’s subplot.
It seems that the fast-paced story has left little room for relationship development, with the characters jumping straight into their relationships without a gradual buildup. This makes the connections feel more like physical attraction rather than genuine love. The romantic moments between the two heroines and their partners seem more vulgar than romantic or sensuous, which detracts from the intended intimacy. I apologize if my words sound harsh, but the portrayal of these heroines in these moments gives off a feeling that borders on inappropriate, and it doesn't align with my expectations of romance.
As for Ruo Wen, I neither liked nor disliked his character—he feels like an extra cast to me, and there's not much to say about him. However, I appreciated the characters of Huang Bei Shuang and Huo Qing Yun if i ignore romance part . They stood out for me, and I found them likable. If I focus on the quest within the story, it seems fine, but I wonder how much the strength of these two aspects alone can carry the entire show.
Initially, I thought that since the series has fewer episodes, the story might have been rushed and a bit clumsy. However, I’ve seen many short shows that have managed to execute their narratives well despite the limited time. Maybe that’s why I didn't want to go into too much detail earlier—because I didn’t want to engage in unnecessary debates with fans. But since you’ve asked for my thoughts, this is my perspective.
Despite some wrong decisions by the characters and a few frustrating moments, along with a very terible ending, I didn't feel like crying. The drama had already filled me with so much happiness that when those emotional moments arrived, they didn’t hit as hard. Perhaps that’s why I can’t give it anything less than a 10. It’s truly worth watching. The joy it brings throughout makes those tearful moments feel less significant in comparison. The happiness it gives you will overshadow any sadness, making the emotional moments seem minor in the grand scheme.
The soul of the drama began with them and ended with them, their presence shaping the entire narrative. If even one of them had survived to endure more suffering, it would have marred the story. But for me, it’s a beautifully poetic conclusion that they all met their end together. Even if they had all lived, it still would have been a beautiful ending, as their collective journey was what mattered most. Either way, whether in life or death, the beauty of their shared fate is undeniable.
Dude lived to find his gamilies murderer. The murderer commited his crimes because of desperation to save his…
You have seen the story and I have seen it too. We both know how the story was told. So I am not talking about the story. As you pointed out my imagination. I would just like to say that there is nothing wrong with fantasy in fantasy. I mean drama and movie. Because in real life no one is after revenge, even if the incident happened when he was a child, no matter how cruel the incident was. And neither "enemies heal each other" as I wanted.
Overall, people live in a fantasy world when they connect with drama movies and think fantasy, as many people, so many different thoughts. If I talk about drama movies, then your perspective also has an existence and mine too. And if I don't see it from that drama movie perspective, then both don't have an existence.

Thanks for reminding me that I'm in a fantasy land, but have you forgotten that dramas and movies are fantasies themselves? In real life, hardly anyone takes revenge, except in rare cases. irl If the incident is recent, anger remains, and the consequences are seen immediately. Who chases 16-20 years searching for someone to take revenge? No one , And when they finally find them, instead of just shooting them directly, they try an experiment to bring back their memory. If anyone's in a fantasy land, it's not just me.
Is this rated so low simply because it's a MATURE show depicting everyday things?Or is it just bad.
There are three main reasons for its low rating. First, the inclusion of mature content may not appeal to everyone. Second, the storyline's potential was undermined, leaving viewers disappointed. Lastly, there are a few noticeable plot holes that affected its overall coherence. While I wouldn't categorize it as either bad or exceptional, it strikes a balance as a good watch overall.
The notion of selecting the "best actor/actress" without considering looks or popularity seems a bit unrealistic. It made me laugh because, let’s be honest, appearances play a huge role in the entertainment industry. If looks didn’t matter, actors would be showing up on set straight from bed, with no makeup, hair styling, outfits, gym routines, or cosmetic treatments involved. The reality is, when someone debuts, the first thing that grabs people’s attention is their appearance. If a celebrity’s face were to be disfigured, like in the case of an acid attack, they would likely never be seen on screen again, and the same audience that once adored them would no longer want to watch, no matter how talented they are.
In conclusion, looks do matter. This voting list and ranking are also likely based more on appearances and popularity than actual talent. This applies not only to actors and celebrities but to everyone, as we all tend to judge and interact based on appearances when socializing.
The first four episodes were enjoyable, but if the storyline introduces a serious love triangle, major misunderstandings, or a breakup, I would likely stop watching the show. Those tropes tend to detract from my overall experience, and I'd rather avoid them.
Is this a playlist or collection of many dramas on IQiyi called Love On folder? Or is it a standalone series of 520 episodes. Will mdl add playlists now?
