The cinematography feels a bit different from the usual kdrama which is kinda interesting. Watched solely because of the parents couple that played in Sky Castle
I think this the only show where I don't hate the reporter character. Lee Ki Seok shows some solid work ethic. Sure, he can be annoying at times (hey, it comes with the job), but I appreciate his commitment. When he discovered that one of his colleagues had been involved in infiltrating a cult, he jumped in and assisted the police right away just so he can make sure of the safety of his teammate over his work duties.
New bestie group that is outside my expectation: Eun Ho and the 3 bully friends. I like their energy at Sumin & Minhwan's wedding. And I like how their characters are getting better-- they are actually good friends but just got bad influence from Sumin
I appreciate the way they handled the character, especially Myung Joon. He has a pure heart with no scheming or hidden agenda. I initially thought that when the writer revealed Myung Joon as one of the experiment subjects, they would make him out to be a genius or he has something under his sleeve. To my surprise, they kept his character quite down-to-earth, which I found refreshing in its own way.
I like the ending, but I feel like CJW's mother didn't put any effort. Whenever she's questioned, it's like 90% of the time she went silent. And what's with that arrogant attitude of playing the video until the end? To rub the salt into the wound? I really want to smack her head real bad >:(
But I like how the director/writer put some of the comedy scenes into the ending, I guess to alleviate the mood? I didn't expect BMG and PKY's interactions to be funny even when they're in prison. "Isn't your dad more powerful?" kills me lol
I really like Mr. Wang's character here. Even though he's a loan shark, but he stands by his principle! And the OST that plays in the ending is giving me the "Temptation of Wife" vibe XD
Can someone explain to me what happened at the end of Ep 8? I thought PKY successfully escaped because of the disguise and everything, but once he's on the wheelchair, he somehow wanted to give signal to OJS? Did something go wrong in his plan?
