i dont get it. everyone been praising this but the front reviews are either 6-8 lmao. is it because of the ending?…
Same. I'm only on Episode 4 so far, but this is one of the best K-dramas I've seen in a long time. Unless it suddenly collapses at the end, I can't imagine rating this lower than a 10.
I was in an emotional slump and I started binge watching this drama. It’s healing. I cannot explain why. This…
Same. It had its weaknesses but, overall, it was very entertaining, the chemistry between the main leads was excellent, and the supporting cast were superb. Kept my attention through all 12 episodes. Agree with you. A solid 9 from me too :)
Not much at all. It's really a story about the lawyer, the sad things that have happened in his life, how he starts…
Wait till you watch the last episode. The bromance in it is superb. Right up until the last very cute scene :). The whole thing ended up being one of my favorite non-rom com dramas in a long time. Glad you're enjoying it :)
This show, is soo loong. It runs on stupidity to keep the plot going. Everything is a stall for more episodes.…
Same. I watched Episodes 4-11 on 3 x speed and even that didn't fix the stupidity enough to make it watchable. It's the first drama I've watched in a while where I feel like it actually destroyed brain cells.
Amazing too that I liked most of the characters at the beginning, then hated every single one of them by the end. But especially the FL, who is probably the most annoying female character in Korean dramas in a while. (Walks around talking to herself with people standing right next to her not being able to hear what she says. And impersonates another woman while sounding exactly the same way she always does. Sure. That's all believable).
Really wanted to get to the end of this but have just dropped it on Episode 11. I just can't waste any more time to sit through 5 more episodes of absolute trash. Dropped. 3/10
You still believe in the cimate change con? How strange.
Of course you're not. And by that simple statement, it is obvious you have done ZERO research on "climate change" and are just believing what governments and the news media says.
No worries though. I educate myself. You're happy to be ignorant and badly informed. Good to know.
You still believe in the cimate change con? How strange.
Except I'm a journalist and I've been reading scientific studies on this for years. There are also an enormous number of scientists around the world who know this is a con, but they are currently censored by western governments determined to go all-in on "Net Zero", which simply isn't possible.
What "Net Zero" will do, though, is bankrupt western nations who bizarrely seem to think a power grid that cannot even power every home when a minor problem occurs (see California) will suddenly be able to power tens of millions of new electric vehicles. If anyone believes that, they're an idiot.
Meanwhile, China is building 3-4 new coal plants every week, while selling "green energy" components to the west. Green energy components they will not use themselves as they know they are a con. But, selling those useless components to the west will make China richer, while bankrupting western countries, making it easier for China to eventually become the world's only super power. (I lived in Asia for 15 years. Believe me. The Chinese are not stupid).
Meanwhile, badly educated teenagers and 20-somethings who weren't taught to think for themselves, or to actually do research, believe everything western governments tell them about "climate change".
The same western governments that told you a Covid "vaccine" stopped the virus being contracted and transmitted (wrong on both counts), and the same western governments that told you that you couldn't die if you got "vaccinated". Which might be a bit of a surprise to the hundreds of thousands of "vaccinated" people who have now died from Covid.
But hey, you keep believing the climate con. Meanwhile, I'll be living back in Asia because, let me tell you, some Asian countries might be paying lip service to the climate con but, when push comes to shove, they're not aiming for Net Zero either. Because, again, Asian governments aren't stupid.
I usually stay away from lawyer dramas. Can anyone tell me how much time is spent in the court room? I just can't…
Not much at all. It's really a story about the lawyer, the sad things that have happened in his life, how he starts to overcome them, and his relationship with his two closest friends. The first two episodes are a little slow but, once it gets going, it is absolutely brilliant. And with the best bromance I have ever seen in a drama. And I'm with you. Not a legal drama fan at all usually.
OMG, Episode 9 when the noodle grandma finally comes back and grills all three of them about what they're doing wrong with their lives. Dying. Rewound that scene and watched it three times. Absolutely brilliant writing and acting :)
Overly melodramatic and very average so far, although the acting is good. Hopefully it will improve. Not sure I'll stick with it though as 50 episodes is a slog.
I was alerted about a reply from you, but kisskh leads me here, and this looks like a standalone comment.…
Oh believe me, I found the FL interesting in the first few episodes -- flawed but interesting. But now she has become as toxic as the ex-boyfriend, just in that whiny, manipulative, constantly criticizing way some women get into when they start blaming everyone else for their own problems.
The ML, on the other hand, has a real, terrible, devastatingly tragic background but has still come out of it as an incredibly nice person, with the arrogance of the first couple of episodes being nothing more than a shield. (And I won't spoil the story for you, but the twist at the end of Episode 4 (I think it's 4?) is very surprising).
Unfortunately, he is still constantly pulled into sniping arguments by the FL, but still seems to have the patience of Job.
If it was me, I would have slapped her by now :).
Anyway, I recommend watching a few more episodes as you may enjoy it. Especially when you learn more about the ML's life.
For me, I just can't get past how much I hate every second the FL is on screen, and 7 more hours of that? Nah.

Sorry, that's my fault. I initially replied to you saying I was dropping it at Ep. 7 then decided to give it a couple more tries, so deleted the comment. But no... I cannot STAND the female lead, she is so passive aggressively toxic and so incredibly manipulative but, apparently, we're supposed to feel sorry for her because her mother had an affair? Bizarre :)
And strange isn't it? I didn't like the ML at all for the first couple of episodes. But, by the end of Episode 4, you can't help but empathize with him. Now, as I leave it at Episode 9, he is the only character I like in the entire mess.
The roommates are awful (and what is it with Jo Dong Min shouting at top notch all the time?), her co-workers are horrible, Jang Jae Yeol's "best friend" is just an untrustworthy person with dodgy morals, (Jae Yeol's brother says he's going to kill him as soon as he gets out of jail, so the "friend" takes the brother to see him - nothing in this drama makes sense :) ), the teenage girl is an idiot, Ji Hae Soo's ex-boyfriend is an a-hole, and on and on :)
They are almost all incredibly self-involved people who wouldn't know a real problem if it kicked them in the ass.
Honestly, I'm tempted to keep watching it just to see if it can possibly get worse :)
And btw, I don't fault the actors, they all do amazingly well in their roles. It's the script that is horrible.
Thanks, I don't know why people keep adding Thai shows to different lists. Even though, there is a separate Thai…
When I moved to Thailand, I lost count of the number of American friends who asked me before I left "Why are you moving to Taiwan? Isn't it dangerous". (I'm not. And no ) :)
How is the rating so low?! It's literally perfect!! The acting is so natural! Ki Tae is straightforward but also…
The scenes in Episode 6 where they decide to date are superb. Everything is so naturally done, but so understated, which is how it would be in real life. I haven't seen a Korean BL yet with this high level of acting. It's usually reserved for Japanese BL.
Dropped after Episode 9. Can't possibly sit through another 7 hours of this. There isn't a likeable character in the entire drama except the ML, and the female lead is exceptionally toxic. Also removing anything the same writer has written from my 'To Watch' list as it's been a long time since I've hated anything this much.
