As an Indian myself, I can’t say I’m surprised. Most of us grew up watching actors, singers, and politicians…
5️⃣ “We’ve never seen a scandal like this in India, where a young actress was groomed, discarded, and bullied to death.”
→ Bollywood may not have had an identical case, but that doesn’t mean similar patterns don’t exist. Powerful men in the industry have repeatedly used their influence over young actresses, manipulated them, and discarded them.

Jiah Khan was in a toxic relationship with Sooraj Pancholi, leading to her tragic suicide. Even after her death, the case was downplayed, and Sooraj faced minimal consequences.

Pratyusha Banerjee, a popular TV actress, died by suicide after facing alleged abuse and financial exploitation by her partner, but the industry moved on quickly.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death became a media circus, but the actual issues of mental health and Bollywood’s treatment of outsiders were brushed aside in favor of gossip and conspiracy theories.

Just because Bollywood scandals are handled differently doesn't mean predatory behavior, grooming, and power imbalances don’t happen here.

6️⃣ “Celebrity suicides are not common in India.”
→ They might not be as frequent, but they do happen. The film and TV industry is ruthless, and many struggling actors have taken their own lives due to bullying, power imbalances, and industry exploitation. The reason they don’t get as much attention is that, in India, the narrative is usually dismissed as “depression” or “personal issues,” rather than holding the powerful accountable.

4️⃣ “Indian celebrity culture is vastly different from Korean celebrity culture. Indian people might follow celebrities, but they don’t idolize them or form deep parasocial relationships.”
→ While it’s true that Indian celebrity culture differs, it’s naive to say parasocial relationships don’t exist here. Bollywood fans have been defending criminals and abusers for decades.

Salman Khan literally had a hit-and-run, yet fans still worship him, with some even offering prayers for his court verdict like he was a god.

Sanjay Dutt was convicted for illegal possession of weapons linked to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, yet Bollywood gave him a full-fledged biopic glorifying his life, starring none other than Ranbir Kapoor.

Raj Kundra was arrested for involvement in a pornography racket, yet fans defended him, calling it a conspiracy.

Actors accused of sexual misconduct during the MeToo movement—like Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, and Nana Patekar—still have careers, because fans and the industry chose to forget.

3️⃣ “Age of consent is 18 in India, and any form of sexual contact with a minor is statutory rape. Under this law, KSH would face jail time and fines.”
→ Correct, but this argument misses the point. The issue isn’t whether KSH would be punished under Indian law—he's a Korean citizen, so Korean laws apply. And even in Korea, this isn’t just about legality; it’s about morality and power imbalance. Grooming and inappropriate behavior toward minors aren’t always explicitly illegal, but they are predatory and should be condemned.

2️⃣ “I guess they don’t understand the concept of p* well and genuinely believe the family is framing him because fake sexual assault cases are common in India.”**
→ This is an extremely flawed generalization. Yes, false cases exist everywhere, but that doesn’t mean all allegations are false. This kind of mindset—assuming a woman is lying unless proven otherwise—is exactly why powerful men keep getting away with predatory behavior. Also, misunderstanding pedophilia? If anything, KSH’s defenders are the ones twisting facts to protect him.

1️⃣ “How many Indian people watch K-dramas? I didn’t find many Indian girls/women defending him on social media.”
→ Just because you didn’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. K-dramas have a massive Indian fanbase, especially among young women. There are entire Indian K-drama fandom groups on platforms like Twitter (X), Instagram, and Facebook, where you’ll find plenty of fans blindly defending their oppa. Just because it's not trending in your circles doesn't mean it's nonexistent.

That's why I won't be shocked if KSH happens to win lawsuits and then comes back unscathed. Been there, seen that already

Exactly. Forget SRK’s son—what truly shocked me was the Pune Porsche case, where the kid initially got off with nothing but an essay as punishment for killing two people. It wasn’t until a friend pointed out that these things happen all the time, just without widespread media coverage, that I realized how common this level of privilege and injustice really is.

As an Indian myself, I can’t say I’m surprised. Most of us grew up watching actors, singers, and politicians get away with any crime, only to return to their careers unscathed—as long as they were rich or well-connected. It’s also worth noting that many actors here are infamous for starring in films where their on-screen love interest is decades younger than them.

KSH delulu fans rn: Awww, my precious, innocent oppa! 😭💖 Stay *sooo* strong, okay? Even though the big, bad world is being *sooo* mean to you for absolutely *no reason at all*—don’t worry! You still have millions of loyal, brainwashed—I mean, *devoted*—fans who will defend you no matter what! Oppa can never do wrong! Fighting! ✨🥺💞

Aww, poor thing! Must be *so* tough for him, sitting comfortably with his millions of fans, all while they work overtime to defend him like it’s a full-time job. Truly, thoughts and prayers for oppa during this *devastating* time of… facing the consequences of his own actions. Stay strong star oppa! 💖✨

They are trolling him so bad on Twitter even i felt bad for laughing 💀He should have been honest while he still…
Remember, this is the second time his fans have launched a hate campaign against her—first during *QoT* and now after her passing. And both times, it was women leading the charge, shaming a young woman simply for being involved with their oppa. The devil may work hard, but KSH's fans work even harder. Someone was 💯 right when they said, 'Even the devil calls them sunbaenim.'

Apart from KSR's case, let’s not forget how KSH referred to Nam Ji Hyun as a ‘fox’ and called her ‘my girl,’ and how he told Kim Yoo Jung that he hoped she would grow up and mature enough to be his romantic partner in a drama—both of whom were minors at the time. Also, don't forget wanting to marry a 21 yr old at 41.(PS: This is a gentle reminder to his die hard fans who are speaking about the truth.)

He stood alone, with a truth no one cared to hear 💔The accusations had spread like wildfire before he could…
Aww, poor oppa and his defenders. His so-called '18-year' career is longer than KSR’s age when he first met her. Defending your problematic oppa is one thing, but blindly dismissing every accusation as lies is another. Even if KSR’s case turns out to be false, the fact remains that he called Nam Ji Hyun a ‘fox’ and told Kim Yoo Jung he wanted her to grow older so she could be ‘mature enough’ to be his romantic partner. Those words weren’t fabricated—they’re his own.

why was eun woo bashed?
From what I’ve seen, most people didn’t bring up Eun Woo in this matter and even urged Garosero not to involve other celebrities. It was actually the great star’s fans who tried to spread the narrative that Garosero had directly implicated Eun Woo, hoping to discourage other fandoms from supporting them out of fear that their own idols might get dragged in. In reality, many people criticized Garosero for insinuating that Eun Woo hadn’t attended the funeral, especially since he did send a wreath.

I don't know why people keep blaming his Team or GM over the handling of this scandal, after the reveal of that…
I honestly think his advisors must be secretly relieved to see this backfire. I mean, how do you openly admit that they suggested a different approach, only to ignore them and, in the process, paint them as the villains to your own fans? It’s almost impressive how he managed to make himself look even worse. Truly a vile idol.

why was eun woo bashed?
From what I heard, Garosero said that CEW's manager betrayed Sae Ron or smtg, and that CEW didn't attend the funeral but sent a wreath. Although not sure who bashed him, I did see some KSH fans go around saying other's faves are getting dragged just like theirs, so that people stop supporting the actual cause.
