You’re welcome! ☺️ Live journal most likely is your best bet when finding older Japanese movies that are hard to find, although many of the links are dead now 😭

Title Manhole
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
I think you should! it’s lowkey a weird fun drama. it’s about a guy that is trying to stop his childhood crush from getting married, but before he can really do that he gets sucked into a manhole and can then time travel. That’s all I’ll say to describe it :) I watched this drama about a year ago. I really enjoyed the characters. There were moments where the writing could’ve been better, but overall it was a good watch. I love jaejoong so if you do too then that’s more of a reason to pick it up!

Just finished this drama. Obviously watched this for Jaejoong. The performances were great, but I think the main problem with this drama is the writing. There were times it flowed really well, but it was overshadowed by the amount of times it didn’t flow well.. which was like almost very ep. I found myself kinda lost and not paying attention. (Mainly when we focused on side characters too much). I will def say that the first 2 eps, and the last 2 eps were the strongest in the whole drama and the most interesting. Would I rec this drama to someone that wants to start it? I mean not really. It's kinda boring in the eps after 2 and before like 13? But if you are a Jaejoong fan.. I would recommend it because his performance was really good and made it worth watching. It def was a good choice to roll out 2 eps per week 🙌🏼 thank god

So I watched this last night and idk why I watched this with my roommate in the room… the amount of times I had to suppress my tears 💀💀 it was getting really hard. I should’ve known … Japan gets right to it with the feels 😭😭 This film is a slow burner but done right, no dull or unnecessary moments. The cinematography was beautiful. But again… this was lowkey depressing 😭😭 like imma need to sit, stare into a corner, and think a bit 💀 That bombshell towards the end of the movie really had my jaw on the floor… like I really wasn’t prepared 😭 they just said yup ur world is about to crumble… no such thing as a fairy tale 😤 Anyways loved the 3 main actors in this, I’ve actually seen all 3 of them in other dramas/films so I knew they wouldn’t disappoint 😤 Does have rewatch value but… do I really wanna suffer in pain?? 👀🥲

On Jae Joong: On the Road Aug 18, 2024
Sooooo... you already know I watched this cause of Jaejoong. I wanted to learn more about him through this doc and I def did. Man did I cry a few times 😭😭 the score is really beautiful and the relation to one of Jaejoong's fav movies: A Moment to Remember gave me chills. I definitely need to watch that film soon. AND OMG.. the part where Jaejoong met up with his teacher... AHHH I TEAREDDDD. It made me think of my favorite teachers in school who would always support me. I think this doc really shined during the last 15 mins I loved that part a lot. Jaejoong telling us to not blame others when bad things happen🥹like damn is this man so humble. Only thing that threw me out of the experience a bit was the editing. There were a lot of cuts at certain parts that were like really excessive. Other than that this was a really inspiring doc and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn more about his past and his road to becoming a singer ♡

Holy moly… I’ve so far watched 10 eps (took like a 3 month drop period between eps 7 and 8). There is a whole lot of nothing happening each episode like my god. I love jaejoong and this is why I’m watching but they wrote his character so bland that I’m so uninterested 😭 I might completely drop but not sure yet... (6/12/24) UPDATE: So after ep 11 things are a bit more "actiony" and things are picking up, but the dialogue is just mediocre and cringy for me 💀... like why are the characters acting like this ..) (6/19/24) Ok finalll update, so I just finished the drama and I would def say that ep 15 & 16 are the strongest eps. Pretty much eps 14-16 had a better pace, but that's really late in a drama for things to start picking up. I would recommend either skipping around or watching the drama on like 2x speed which is what I did for the last few eps. Ending was good I didn't mind it, and made me think that if a second season were to happen I wouldn't be against watching it... of course if it wasn't as slow as this one. They dragged this story out wayyyyyy too much. Would've worked better as a 10-12 ep drama. Oh and jaejoong's character isn't so "bland" in the last few eps, and the mom isn't as annoying as she was in the eps before.

Literally feel so empty after watching... The stunts, script, acting, ost, omg literally all were amazing. Yeo Jin Goo... his performance.. like omg he really leaves me speechless. The rewatch value on this one is extreme and I will be watching a million times more. I just can't put it into words... watch it immediatelyyyy!!
