FL is annoying
The female lead in The Best Thing is frustratingly obsessed with her ex. It's hard to sympathize with her. Instead of moving forward and growing as a person, she constantly dwells on her past relationship, making it hard for her to sleep. LOL! You should have done better with the plot. Her character lacks development, and despite the numerous opportunities for her to become stronger, she remains stuck. Rather than working on herself or making independent decisions, she spends most of the drama waiting for the ML to fix her problems.
To make things worse, she falls into the classic damsel in distress trope, relying entirely on the male lead to save her. No matter what situation she’s in—whether it’s emotional turmoil or a practical problem—he’s always the one swooping in to help. This dynamic not only makes her character weak but also makes their romance feel one-sided. Poor ML
