But the characters are not smartly done. Also, it's too dragging. Another overrated drama. Douban is right. Chinese people are right not to rate this high. Intl fans are too cheesy and exaggerated

The Best in 2025
do not listen to the otherswho want to ruin this drama. The Legend of the Female General is both exciting and romantic. The female lead is stunning and fearless—her sword work is sharp, and she never backs down in a fight. The male lead is just as impressive, with quick reflexes, strong moves, and a quiet strength that balances her fiery spirit. They look perfect together, not only because they’re both striking but because they truly understand and support each other. Off the battlefield, their chemistry is warm and natural, making every shared glance and quiet moment feel real. The mix of action and romance makes their story both thrilling . kilig

FL is annoying
The female lead in The Best Thing is frustratingly obsessed with her ex. It's hard to sympathize with her. Instead of moving forward and growing as a person, she constantly dwells on her past relationship, making it hard for her to sleep. LOL! You should have done better with the plot. Her character lacks development, and despite the numerous opportunities for her to become stronger, she remains stuck. Rather than working on herself or making independent decisions, she spends most of the drama waiting for the ML to fix her problems. To make things worse, she falls into the classic damsel in distress trope, relying entirely on the male lead to save her. No matter what situation she’s in—whether it’s emotional turmoil or a practical problem—he’s always the one swooping in to help. This dynamic not only makes her character weak but also makes their romance feel one-sided. Poor ML

Boringgg
Just another boring and hyped drama by zhao lusi. But i can say she looks a bit better here than in now because she hasn't had a nose job yet. The male lead is super hyped which i cannot understand. He's not even as handsome as zhang linghe. He's just a 5 out of ten. His acting is so bad, too. Zhao lusi, at least, can act. No chemistry between the leads and boring female. Not funny. There's nothing to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

The Best
The First Frost is a touching and well-balanced romance with humor and depth. Bai Jingting’s portrayal of Sang Yan stands out, bringing both charm and sincerity to his role as Sang Yan. His interactions with Zhang Ruonan feel genuine, and their dynamic keeps the story engaging. The pacing is smooth, with emotional moments placed naturally between lighthearted scenes. The cinematography creates a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. What sets this drama apart is its character growth. Sang Yan isn’t just there to be a love interest—he has his own struggles and moments of self-reflection and his POV was so fun. It made the drama more convincing and relatable. The supporting cast adds personality without overshadowing the leads. With its strong performances and thoughtful storytelling, The First Frost is a drama worth watching. Watch it now!

annoying fl
I really couldn’t get into A Dream Within a Dream because of the female lead. Her acting felt flat and forced, and instead of drawing me into the story, she came off as annoying. The role had so much potential, but her performance made it hard to stay invested. Honestly, the whole drama suffers because the main character just doesn’t deliver and the story is too shallow. The plot is so chaotic. liu yuning is overrated despite being an ugly actor. fl’s acting is so badWas this review helpful to you?
