This is why I always pay more attention to Mnet's survival shows. At least the groups that debut there are actually real groups, they get proper promotion, reality/variety shows, comebacks, mostly exclusive contracts, and all that.
Chinese show groups? They usually get zero promotion, and in the end, everyone just goes off to do their own thing.
The worst was Idol Producer with Nine Percent. It was a dream lineup but they only promoted together for like a month before everyone went back to their own companies to do their own stuff.
This felt like a standalone mini-season. There were fewer episodes, and the story was more surface-level, featuring mostly new characters. It wasn’t bad, actually, quite ok (especially the games). However, if they make a Season 4, I hope they return to the characters from Seasons 1 and 2 and have a better developped story with more episodes. S1 will always be the best for me. S2 was a step down and so is S3.
This was really good, I cried in the last episodes. Both of Zhou Yiran drama this year (this one and "Reborn") were top notch, hope it continues like that. I much prefer him in this kind of heavy drama compared to the light hearted ones he did the previous years.

To me, this was much better than hidden love. I did not enjoy hidden love, but loved the first frost. I guess it is because I prefer darker stories. Also, I prefer BJT as the main lead.
Wow, this was the best C-drama I’ve seen in a long time. My only frustration was that after episode 13, you expect the relationship between the leads to take off, but it stalls until the very end of the drama. We don’t see much of them actually being together. It makes sense narratively, but it’s still frustrating. I wanted to see them run away together!
Also, as a European, where which university you attend is generally not that important, I’m always surprised by how significant it is in China. Getting into her dream university is literally her first wish, even before the health of her family.
