I cant see anyone watch list or their ratings if they dont write a review and dunno why.
If someone rates a drama with 1 and write down about that, there will always be drama fans who will defend that drama. I think it's normal. I am pretty sure they cant change anything about ratings, that person impression, but the comments will be there for all passers by who will watch it. Pretty fair

if you want a true answer, search for real statistics, both dramas data. However, none of data or ratings matter, it's all about every each person taste. For me HL is better, but I also liked WIFTY. I rated it lower then HL, but still a high one

the same thing happened on MDL. there is a solid WIFTY drama group of fans, but also ZLS' antis who rated HL with 1 and WIFTY with 10 (or about, but huge difference). They hyped that drama as they suddently hyped Move to heaven after they saw WIFTY score couldnt surpass HL's one. Funny fact is that when their own favs dramas were airing, they had to see not only HL has a higher score, but also those 2 dramas they hyped. well deserved :)

I think every genre should be rated from 1 to 10. If a romcom is well done (writing, directing, acting, sets, chemistry etc) why shouldnt deserve a high rating? I really dont like horrors, but I admit there are very good movies/series which are masterpieces. I wont see a horror, but, definitely, I wont rate it low just coz it isnt my cup of tea. HL is a romcom and it is very well done. Ppl love it (see nr of reviews, nr of comments on MDL. #HidenLove surpassed 3,4 Bil views on TiKTok. I guess this is why it has high ratings

Gen Z is good. It is ranked on the 5th position in top20 TV drama ratings at the end of prime time on local satellite TV (second quarter of 2023). There are TV dramas rated better on Douban that didnt make that list.

It isnt nice to play victim. If you are happy with that 1 rating (not coz of the drama itself, but coz many ppl have a different opinion than yours) it's ok. Just assume it. Peace!
