I definitely agree with "new powerful actresses" but I also disagree with "good emotional range". As a fan, I'm not scared by the new competitors, not coz I'm arrogant or a crazy fan, but I think they cant do what Lusi can. She can take a small project, with issues and deliver a lil gem. Or, at least, that drama wont flop. TLI would flop without ZLS, we all know that, but it managed to keep in front of screen almost 40 mil/ep. My point is that is easier to deliver hits when you have a very good project, with good prod team, than to transform an average project into a hit. And HL is a good ex. I think this is the secret of ZLS's popularity, that's why her drama fan base grows with every project.

In my opinion, she nailed CSS char in LLTG, also LLY in The Long Ballad. She was also very good in Gen Z. Even this drama couldnt find its way to the public heart as it deserved, it is full of awards.

About typecasting, I cant say there's a problem. All ZLS's chars have great development, but you can make a difference between CSS, STT, SZ. Coz girl's acting was different for every each of them. It's really problematic for an actress only when she is able to deliver her chars (in diff genres of drama) in the same way. And this is not ZLS's case
HL is so loved by public, despite the simple plot and story line, coz she could deliver emotion. Her pairing with CZY, who also could deliver emotion, was such a wise choice, a winning match
It's important for an actress with who is paired in a drama, beginning with the support her partner can offer (in matter of acting) till the chemistry they have together. I really hope she will be paired with Bai Jing Tin someday. Hope for Cheng Yi as well. But we will see
About age gap between actors, I think this is such a ridiculous issue it shouldnt be even thought, written is already painful to read. If ppl would think that way, we wouldnt have movies Oscar awarded or that made history like Singin' in the rain, Indecent proposal, Lost in translation, To have or not have, Entrampment and so many more
