What helped for me was seeing the actor in a few talk shows. He has a similar behaviour as the character but with a better attitude so you get used more easily.

It's the same scriptwriter of My Liberation Notes which imo was much better so I totally recommend. It also has a gloomy feeling

esp as she thinks she's the only one grieving. as if the parents didn't lose a son or the ML hasn't watched his brother die in front of his eyes and has to live with it. She's just too egoistic
