Shawn Dou really shines when he plays antagonists or even villan roles(even after all this time his Yan Xun is my favorite role of his and actually rooted for him to win LOL)...

I saw it more as the Demon King defeating Zhao Ming from the past because DK had integrated XXC soul back and upgraded himself in terms of powers as XXC was a part of ZM from the start as he was a fragment of his original soul as this one never shattered it at the time so in normal conditions they would have the same starting point of power but XXC becoming his own person, training and becoming more stronger upgradaded the now DM in terms of powers making him stronger than the original ZM and that's why he could survive in the end...

They really needed to give us one more episode to tie all in and not the forever confusing and rushed ending...Thry put so much eforts in giving us a good story just to toss it all away with a lousy ending...And almost all the dramas do this lousy formula

Soooo sad they didn't include at least a mini epilogue or just another episode to give a better more closed ending to it's story :( Even more when so other stuff were left in the open,like Fate erasing himself and nothing happening as he distrupted the timeline in doing so...Just by his act the world should have crushed as he had so many lives lived.Explain XXC identity in this new reality and how he returned,was he Zhao Ming but integrating XXC personality not having the hate in him like before pr how,as it is weird in the context that they really wanted to make us see that Ling loved and wanted only XXX and Zhao Ming with Perl...

Yeah,i know for sure he is the bad guy based on the little we are given about the story :( Hope he gets his leading role soon!!!

I think in an ironic way TM meddeling saved ZM life all in all...Doubt TM would return his life after using him just like TM took CP vein of love inflicting the torture and curse on himself

Guess the irony might be that even him is binded by some rules and can't do anything directly...Think maybe some cosmic rules so he must find a loop in the rules

Curious who wrote his fate (the plot of NX life) when he decended to the mortal realm because his is a total tearjearker...Could be HT who wrote it as a punishment or he did it himself as i doubt HT would let him off while rebelling against his rules...Still sad to see their bond destroyed like that as being the only two of their kind because of the same emotions they were devoid off....

Finally,that's how i see it as well...For me he clearly feels familial love but confuses it with romantic love and has no one to tell him that...As they are in some ways totally brother and sister and he is scared of being left all alone...Kinda sad they didn't examine more this angle as it is way more complex and heartreaching...

Kinda sad they missed using the angle of TM and Pearl as more of brother and sister if u can even say that considering their unique origin and their different ways of seeing things ,rule etc as it's hard to see from a human perspective theirs...It's clar that Pearl is the independent one,the one who always wanted more, not content with what settings her origines abbided her ,wanting to experience what humans had contrary to TM who was more the obidient one not quiestioning anything aside from what their creator asked of them...And yet they are part of each other like twho faces of the same coin,both feeling loneliness in different ways...More than love i see TM being afraid of being alone and not knowing a life of being just himself left alone in that vast place...Guess from there his desperation and obsession steams yet he confuses it with romantic love when they could play it for brotherly...It would have been more heartreaching in my view as i see Pearl being more cruel in ways than him considering that she could leave him easily for a human...That would have been a subplot wothy of exploring...

I think actually that was his fate all along and like the Deity explained XXC was actually a mere spactator of what transpired in the past,like a loop type...he already done it so the outcome was pre-set...He believed he was changing stuff yet he was going acording to fate.Just like the Deity was waiting for him,as someone saw the outcome a long time ago...He never went crazy the first time,all the other clans considered it that he went on the kill spree because they coundn't explain it otherwise or that he was possessed by a Dark Clan member while he never remembered it as he never lived it himself...

Curious if it's a time loop what they are experiencing based on the tiny bits we're given and synopsis and that the one who saved her in the past was actually his future self that went back in time(making more sense why he refused first to tell her his name and cared for her)...
