Poor tantai Jin. Ep 25: he’s more upset that xi wu wants to save xiao lin and run away with him. He’s not even mad that she wants to kill him rather she doesn’t want to be with him.
Here we see how obsessed and possessive he is over li susu, he admits he wants to be her everything. The acting is just chefs kiss.
Ep 26: I can’t get over him still admitting he can’t stop loving even when she’s stabbing nails in his heart. His love is too overwhelming.
I think one of the reasons why li susu keeps misunderstanding him is that she doesn’t believe that’s she’s that “special” enough to change tantai jin. She loves him but still believes in her heart that his love isn’t pure, it’s selfish. It keeps her guard up. And I think that’s why she gives up completely in the end and sacrifices herself to give him one last chance.
Tantai Jin falling harder for ye xi wu only shows how mad and crazy he becomes after her death
If only tantai Jin knew how much li susu loved him and basically gave up her life for a chance for him to choose the good path. Ep 23 both leads acting was 100/10. The love was pouring out of their eyes, I was mesmerised
Why do I feel like when YY said to YD that he would kill her if she ever fell in love with someone it felt more like toxic jealousy then him reminding her of the heavenly laws.
Is it just me or did Cheng yi do that to tease to the audience that his character has already fallen for YD?
Maybe I’m just imagining it but it felt like that line came from place of insecurity that YD has fallen in love with another then him just trying to scare her. Any thoughts?
I just want to say something about ep 7 really quicklythis is my interpretation of the scene where thyme almost…
100% agree with you on this one. Although your not justifying his actions, you can understand that this not just a “sign of abuse” or that he’s “toxic” but that Thyme is someone who clearly has mental trauma. The whole story shows this when things happen without his control he panics and uses violence and anger to solve it. That scene in ep 7 should confirm to everyone that Thyme is not just some cold, uncaring rich heir but he’s deep down a child that has never had any emotional reassurance at all. Which is really sad.. imagine never having that family or person that could give you that love and care in a way where you feel naturally content in your self. The series actually shows you how emotionally vulnerable and kind thyme really is and how gorya connects to that hidden side to him that is only exclusive to her and his f4 friends. I also think him never having loved anyone like you said is crazy. I’m sure everyone had crushes on people but it’s crazy to think thyme has never once that feeling for anyone at all. So him experiencing that type of jealous just makes him want to control gorya even more.
Why am i so late to this??? I always miss the hidden gems. This was *chefs kiss*. Im reading book 2 of the novel right now and its killing me how we wont get a season 2?. They need to continue the story!! It was just starting to get good..why china? WHY??
Does anyone recall who BFJ's destined lover on the stone of three lives is supposed to be in Eternal Love?
Some guy called lord wen chang. I heard someone say that it's a name that yehua gives donghua when yehua becomes king because donghua name isn't a actual name it's a title like king or Sir. But eternal love version of bfj and dd is not the real story so who knows?
I am in love with this show! The characters, the aesthetics, the story line is just so beautiful. I patiently waited 2 years for this show that I can definitely say it's better than my expectations. Definitely worth the wait guys and I'm sure the haters will change their minds the more the show develops. I'm sorry that you feel this show is disappointing you/boring you/ or it's not as good as eternal love but it's a show. If you dont like it, that's fine. Dont try to force us to not like it too. Whatever your opinion is, it's yours. Your opinion doesn't matter to me if it's not constructive or meaningful. You can stop reading my comment if you feel hurt ?. Anyways guys this show keeps getting better. The actress playing Ji heng isn't doing it for me, shes not really acting or being expressive like her character. Shes acts very differently than the way she is in the novel. What do you guys think?❤
I'm really confused on how they'll do this show. Will they follow the book completely? Or use some things from tmopb version of their story. I find it weird how in the book donghua meets fengjiu at the royal wedding and while in the show they met while he saved her from a demon attack. I dont want see him start his love for fengjiu all over again tbh, I liked the way they bulided his feelings for fengjiu naturally in tmopb version. It wouldn't be the same donghua for me if he fell in love at first sight, for him it would be love at first action or conversation. It would be very hard for me to ignore their story in tmopb version and start new in the pillow book version. I think they ended it perfectly in tmopb and then it justifies the 300 year gap of them not being around each other(fengjiu bring fox queen now and donghua always doing heavenly emperors job even when he resigned). Its gonna be very interesting to see how this will play out in the story.
