he explained that he adjusted the way he directed the drama to the script. I guess like the other commenter above…
I am not convinced that the script necessarily called for cartoonish-like approach. There are plenty of similar stories with serial killers and puzzles (in “the silence of lamb” the guy was leaving butterflies on the crime scene, for example) which are directed in realistic style. I’d rather believe that the director wanted to do something original, extravagant - with costumes, hairstyle, music, etc., including making a main lead Yi Na talk like a child. I wish he just tried to make it solid, to make it good. But again, maybe Korean public wants extravagancy.

For sure, if you make a police officer drive a Lamborghini car it doesn’t look realistic )). I am a fan of Nordic Noir and the series like Glass Dome and Dept Q which are so well done and trying to be as realistic as possible. So I don’t get why he was so afraid of having a realistic drama and ending with a“predictable detective story”. Maybe that was driven by the demand of Korean viewers rather than any global trend.

Title Nine Puzzles Spoiler
I don't understand how she was never reunited with her mom after being lost at the amusement park. Her mother…
Yes, it’s a lazy-made story line in script. They just didn’t bother to explain it. For this to happen she had to forget not only the name of the restaurant but her own name, where she lived, her mom’s name etc etc.

this is not just a korean reality but many asian countries forget about their athletes very quickly. once their…
These are not just athletes, they are shown as medalists of major championships and Olympic Games. Normally they should be the pride of their country. Forever and ever. Youngsters look up to them, these people are role models. If you show their post-athletic life like that, how would you motivate young people to do sports? Incomprehensible.

Title Good Boy
Can’t believe Korean athletes, olympian medalists and such are not more appreciated in their country. How it can be that any medalists, especially gold ones can have hardship finding a job or living in poverty etc? Or anyone can disrespect them or kick them like that police commissioner did. I hope it is all a huge exaggeration and not realistic at all.

all 4 dramas are great - the problem these days is that actually nice and good dramas get bad ratings because…
Not true. The drama like “when life gives you tangerines» has huge ratings and this is nothing crazy, it’s just a story about people’s life. The genre is not the problem, the quality is the problem. Quality scripts become more rare than before.

Cast is amazing, the Director is top notch and is a woman on top of that. But not sure about the story…And for any person who knows anything about boxing or watched boxing during any of Olympic Games it is obvious that PBG is too polished to play a boxer..

Same. Bored stiff and I'm not even at the end of Ep 1 yet (15 minutes away). Acting is average, plot is average,…
If you stick with it, let me know later if your opinion changed 😉

Kim Min Ha is an incredible actress, Gong Myung is a total lightweight compared to her. It is so evident when you watch them together.

Still, we have less gumiho dramas than zombie dramas. So keep the gumihos coming ~
They tried ))). They tried to show us not only the implied story that a human is actually a fantasy animal - they went so far as to show us the real animal instead of a human - in “A good day to be a dog” 🐶 😂. Poor puppy wasn’t even trained and was an awful actor ). No, all these animal-human transformations, real or not real - are not working for me.
