Might be the unpopular opinion here but I am kind of liking it. It seems a lot was cut out from the beginning but thankfully it isn't choppy. My 2 main issues are that it looks a bit dated but this is probably because it was filmed years ago.
And then how there was literally no buildup, we didn't get to know the main leads and connect with them before the "us against the word" act, which makes it kind of hard to care. I am just 3 episodes in though so hopefully they get to build that connection.
10min in ep 3This drama has been “angsty” since ep 1, but I’m not attached to any of the characters (yet!).…
I feel like they cut atleast 5 episodes between ep 1 an 2. And while they edited and transitioned it well enough to not feel jarring, 1 episode is not enough to convince Anyone of this "heaven defying" love.
He was introduced to DZ from a young age by her grandmother.. with the intention of them having a future together...…
I get that, we were shown that much. But unless I am missing something, they met once as children and she learnt medicine from him as an adult. I just feel like they didn't show enough bonding for them being soulmates to be convincing. And even in the past life they met only once as well.
His main thing is reading stars which is why he seems to be able to "see" the future, not that he actually remembers his past life. And even if he did remember, I don't think they had so much of a connection in the past life that warrants this level of possessiveness. Plus if he really did remember his past and wants to change the future, aligning with Prince Qing is hardly something anybody sane will do, considering he was responsible for his death then.
I was asking because I assumed the novel tackled the relationship differently and it just wasn't done enough justice in the drama. Or its just one of those everybody needs to be obsessed with the fl thing.
Can someone explain to me why Ji yong and Dou Zhao have such a huge connection? I personally don't get it, they instantly went from someone I met once as a child to best friends (or soulmates) without any reason at all. The fact that even in the past life they only met once and barely had any interactions doesn't help either. In fact he seemed to be on Song Mo's side in the past life, so his animosity towards him now is kind of confusing (I guess it could simply be because he is "in-love" with Dou Zhao).
am i the only one thinking endgame is clearly sojin and kanghoon? from the beginning of the drama the set up was…
Since it is obvious they are not going to scrap the DNA bullshit, I actually think they are going to spin it so Yeon Woo actually turns out to be her DNA lover. The shadow of her DNA lover from ep 1, which was was obviously him pretty much tells it all.
His choice actually made sense to me, it could have been the wake up call So Jin needed with all her nonsensical…
I think she already made her decision by asking to go on a break when she found out he was't her DNA Lover and it was pretty obvious she was never going to get over that fact. The only reason why she even decided to contact him at that point was because he was grieving.
His choice actually made sense to me, it could have been the wake up call So Jin needed with all her nonsensical…
She was acting as if the break up came from no where when she was the one that wanted to go on a break because he wasn't her DNA lover just a few days earlier. Even at the point of the breakup, it wasn't that she had decided to give up on the whole DNA stuff. And on the DNA front itself, she is not even doing anything to check/prove if he is or isn't. Everything has been purely assumption, even her theories.
I'm a little impressed by how little has happened in the drama. None of these people had any kind of personal…
I feel you tbh, the preview doesn't seem promising at all. And I hate to admit but it pissed me off way more than it should have. There's just no growth (or signs of it) from any of the ml's but So jin is the worst because most of them were pretty matured to begin with, while she just lives in la la land and there is only 4 episodes left. I genuinely have no hope for this anymore.
Noble idiocy is one of the worst trope and here we are with Yeon-woo breaking up with sojin because he wants her…
His choice actually made sense to me, it could have been the wake up call So Jin needed with all her nonsensical DNA bullshit that she can't even prove (even in the fictional world) but somehow they decided to make it all about the love triangle AGAIN.
I've officially had it with this show. I have no idea what is going through the writer's mind. It actually seems like the show was created with the sole purpose of promoting the second leads, because why does the sl have more screen time with the fl than the ml. Even amidst the breakup (during the mc's first kiss, as well) he is still somehow the focal point. Then we have the utter lack of maturity and growth from so Jin. The so-called science does not make any sense and as the episodes went on, the more bizarre the things she kept coming up with to justify whatever became. Sfl on the other hand is just not likeable at all. As for the main couple, while I thought they were cute, there was just something missing and I finally figured it out this episode. It was because, there was no emotional connection and this is because all scenes where they could have built this was given to the sl. Even when it comes to background music choice and "the halo effect" the effect the ml and sl get are just so vastly different. They are trying so hard to push the second lead syndrome when the fl has zero chemistry with him and we all know they are not endgame, so what exactly is the point? Also forgot to add why couldn't they just allow people time to heal, Like Yeon woo just lost his dad and Kang hoon as his close friend is calling him in regards to so jin instead of wondering how he is coping. Then we have the same kang hoon asking so jin out, at most a few days after her break up with yeon woo and the sfl also making her moves. Tl;dr I'm just ranting.
But that means he is the one that has the overly agressive cheating gene and not YW. There could could also be…
There is also the RP gene as well which is already manifesting. I Honestly think the writer did not think things through. She is just throwing random things for the shock factor.
I think Father Andrea is going to end up being connected to the arson?
So 2 reasons why I don't think it's the mother despite everything pointing to her. 1. It seemed like she was seeing that flower for the first time during the scene where she buys it because it had to be introduced to her. 2. There is an insignia at the bottom of the flower pot which is the same as the one on the flower pot that was anonymously gifted to yeon woo. So it just seems unlikely to be her.
I am surprised that ML even dated SFL since she was polygamist considering his feelings towards cheating with…
He mentioned in one of the episodes that he was initially not okay with but then got used to it because that was who she is. I personally think it's because he keeps all his partners at a distance, and what better way to do that than not being exclusive.
Am I the only one who finds the FL extremely annoying and the made-up science stuff unnecessarily boring?
The fl is actually okay but the science stuff is just annoying and unnecessary. Like they are not even building a strong case to support it because so far it's been full of contradictions.
