It is not a cliche ending with them running to each other (they had skinship before in the same episode) but they clearly are together since they say they want to spend their lives together. So yes, it is a romantic ending for them expect that they don't kiss at the end.

I like the ending a lot. Nothing confusing, everything is clearly explained and it's not an open one. People who did evil deeds got their retributution, some innocent people died because they were loyal but it's a HE for our main couple so what I wanted. Don't skip and then ask here what is the ending, just listen carefully and you will get it.

It's not confusing, she literally said it. Watch the scene again. They are not related at all, she was just "babysitting".

I would normally say yes but I have serious doubts considering how careful ML has been to not tir her down to him. It wouldn’t make sense for him to take her virginity knowing that she may not come back and since he’s accepted to set her free. So I’m the thinking they may have just cuddled and slept next to each other. But who knows…;)

I think most people complain because they feel it's "unrealistic"...but is not based on real historial characters, and I'm sure there must have been a few rare women in those times who were ahead of their time and potentially writing under fake names or pulling the strings behind closed doors. She is definitely ahead of her time and has never dreamt of being a wife, all she wanted is to be free, happy and survive. I'm in love with her character...I think we are all craving for romance hence the comment I suppose. :)

And also...I think we have forgotten that everything that happened to her family was the consequence of the ML's fight with his rival. They were all collateral damages and ML vowed to save them because he also feels guilty (although it's not his fault).

EXACTLY! She's the biggest victim - she was abandoned by every person she cared about and had to rely on herself since little, hence wanting to become a man. She did everything she could to save her family, which would have fallen without her. This is her one and only chance to become totally free - no family tie, no concubine duty, just her free will. ML knows that the only thing he could offer her right now is a luxurious life inside his mansion, under a fake identity. He knows that's not what she wants and what she deserves. I admire her for not settling for an easy and comfortable life and not obsessing over love, but chasing after her dreams. I have no doubt he will be part of her life again in a few episodes.

From what I saw, she will likely and quickly start working with him on cases and decide not to roam the world alone. And he will probably shift his focus if his mother and side kick die. I saw plenty of upcoming sweet moments so I don’t think they will drag the angst.

Calm down, everyone lol. This is not the end and I saw trailers where FL is wearing the bracelet again, kisses ML and they both walk hand in hand. So I highly doubt this will be a sad ending. If both ended up together now you’d probably be complaining about the writing being too obvious. I would have personally handled it differently than the FL but her decision is true to her character- free thinker,, stubborn, opportunistic and she’s never promised him anything (she kinda did when he was dying but that was because she thought he’d die), plus he never directly confessed, and she’s always told him what her true dream would be. I think and hope she’ll realise what she lost once she discovers the world by herself. Remember the key message of the synopsis: “ She managed to reap happiness step by step relying on her own efforts and wisdom.” Romance is not at the core of this drama, this is part of what she gains but the whole drama is around her gaining freedom and happiness.

What?! Makeup is awful but the costumes are exquisite. At this point it feels like people want to nitpick for the smallest things.

JY acts like a love rival! He literally behaves like a scorned woman lusting after her ex...his eyes are always full of admiration for LY and seems to love being a voyeur a bit too much!! Thank god he's not my type otherwise I may ship him with ML too. :)

It's not about the actress and her age, 31 is young. And it's not about the age gap between the actors, that's not a problem, My issue is with the director casting grown adults as teens...not only in this drama but generally speaking. Just doesn't make sense as no matter how brilliant an actor is, acting like a child when you're a grown adult is just cringe. And it doesn't help that the ML has a babyface for and looks much younger than his real age (26).

Yes, I will skip. I just wanted to check first whether she was supposed to be a grown woman or not in the drama as I wasn’t sure.

I literally couldn’t focus on the storyline in legend of Phoenix. He was mesmerising. I saw interviews of him without much makeup and he has beautiful big brown eyes and nice skin.

They have the best chemistry EVER!! ML is gone, whipped, KO. His words are harsh but he treats her like the most precious jewel, like a little doll. The way he blew on her hands and carefully touched her hair. How am I supposed to ever get married? He’s raising the bar too high :(

Arhhhhh FL is frustrating me already in ep 25. Please listen to ML and DON'T ACT ON YOUR OWN. Gosh, how many times does he need to tell her.
