And the best moment of this drama so far IMO: when she wrote her confession on the palm of his hand. How subtle, beautiful it was...really took my breath away how he suddenly felt so touched but hid it and how she was so pure and didn't overreact and just accepted it.

CY is so so good. His acting has so much depth and emotion but he knows how to be subtle without being dead in the eyes. I LOVE when actors go all in when kissing or in romantic scenes - that's why I loved Mark Chao in TMOPB but found Deng Lun weaker in AOL (he didn't showcase enough passion considering how much he loved Jin Mi). He is one of the few C actors, along with Wallace Chung and Mark Chao, that gives the feels in romantic dramas.

Having 2 phenomenal actors really make a huge difference no matter the script. My only complain is the music. It's really underwhelming and way too cheesy. Dramas like TMOPB and AOL had epic music that really elevated the scenes and emotions. This drama has dramatic music that doesn;t sticj with me.

I agree, not matter how hyped the leads are there is no reason to drag the drama as much. There are plenty of high budget dramas that are compelling too. I dropped it.

While we're all crying in silence waiting for the next episodes....can we PLEASE talk about Cheng Yi's lips!!! I can't be the only one who's been fixated on his lips in all his dramas. I find them really....erotic. And he and the production team clealry know they are his best asset. Most male actors (even the hottest) have dry a**, non moisturized lips usually but his are particularly well taken care of. I adore Yang ZXi but I wanted a close up of his lips, not hers. #morescreentimeforchengyislips

I personally would say that acting wise he is far ahead Yang Yang (I think YY is handsome but not the best at emoting). Really impressed by the way he emotes.

Yes, I honestly did find it boring. I also didn't like the chemistry between the leads but that's very subjective obviously.

Story of Minglan was utterly boring, so I can see why you wouldn't like this drama which is ok.

Yang Zi never disappoints in Wuxia dramas, and she truly act. Highly look forward to this one!

I wish they would stop mentioning the character's ages if they are so young. Who on earth would ship a 17 year old girl in a romantic way unless they are minor themselves or perv. I know old times were different but it's ridiculous considering the fact that the actress is a grown woman. Why not a 20 year old woman!! It just gives me creep vibes...

I'm shocked that LGX keeps on getting work. He is one of the most awkward C actors ever. The guy cannot act and very bizarre body language.

I will make a bold statement: Taiwanese modern dramas are the BEST! Yes, better than K dramas overall (bar some classic gems, I found K drama too "serious" or lacking in chemistry and modern mainland C dramas are usually way too cheesy). Not sure what is it about them but I always find the chemistry and the direction so good !
