You seem to only watch BLs so obvisouly you wouldn't know Push. Lakorn doesn't resolve around BLs. So if someone is biased, it's definitely you. Bright does not deserve #1, he is overrated to begin with. And because someone hasn't done anything in years doesn't mean they suddenly loose popularity? Did you actually read the article? This article was really interesting to read. I'm Eurasian and grew up with Western & Asian cultures equally (half of my life in Europe, half in Asia) and I did notice this oversexualization in Western medias, which is not my cup of tea at all and grew tired of them (I still watch both content but I honestly prefer Asian medias overall). I grew up watching K-Dramas and I also lost my love for them around 2016, I completely relate on this gone magic thing.

I won't recommend you new ones because I haven't found any since then that I really loved. And unlike you i don't feel the need to give them more chances but I admire your motivation. I wish you luck and I'll wait for your C-Dramas journey as I certainly have some recommendations :)

To be clear, I liked your comment, I agree with everything you said, i was just trying to put into perspective for the international viewers why some people defend this show, because at the end of the day it only affects the country it's produced in. Regarding Yer or No, i meant that nothing changed for gay women. And yes Love Sick was the first full-lenght BL show and it mostly happened because of how popular Yaoi manga were at that time, which meant money lol

Pretty sure nobody is putting their hopes & dreams in GAP but it clearly shows how different our lives is. Like we got our first gay pride ever in 2022. Shows can be cancelled easily or they could stop making new ones. I lived through this with Yes or No already: nothing changed in the end and they just stopped. (I'm not a big fan of the show myself btw, it's just a fun watch)

I agree with you but keep in mind that we don't have many lesbian content in Asia compared to the West, we are extremely underrepresented compared to gay men, for instance we don't have ANY lesbian bars when there's tons of gay bars, and finally, we still can't get married in Thailand (actually all Asia except Taiwan really) so GAP needs to be super hyped so people talk about it here and things can move for us. So no matter how bad the show is, it is a big thing and if it is too criticized, especially by lesbians, they won't make better ones, they will just stop cause it doesn't make money.
