It seems love triangle on surface but if you start watching the episodes, you'll realise it's not. There is no annoying love triangle as they are into different ppl (it's kinda spoiler, but you'll get it when you watch it) it's not happy or sad ending, bittersweet word would be appropriate for this.

Totally agreed. In manga, author never hinted their relationship to be romantic. IDK why drama version tried to romantisize their relationship, it's disgusting coz he was adult & she was minor. He himself was also weirded out with that idea of marrying her.

Many ppl even from countryside admires them, that's how they naturally acted & got into characters. About you said filming like it was filmed in 1995, because it was set in 90s (the time travel thing) to make it realistic it was required
