You should read manga then. Drama version somewhere showed it in romantic way especially that last scene where she dreamt of wedding. Their relationship was purely platonic if you read manga ver. Author never said it was romantic, instead it was psychological.

Exactly. She was supposed to be like this. After reality hit her, she became mature & had character development. These people are so focused on fl's immaturity (which is changed in later episodes), they are dropping this drama.

There will be no season 2 coz the original story ends there. But there is kinda continuation version (a movie version of original drama with different plot) You can try original (both drama & movie version),it depends on you whether you will like it or not. Oh & if you are gonna watch drama version, don't forget to watch extra scene which is available on youtube after finishing drama.

Yeah they met for sure but it was suspense who was he in the drama version his face was covered by umbrella,hence it was open ending & we weren't sure whether he was Zhang Wansen or someone else. It was revealed in movie version (basically during the end of movie) that he was Zhang Wansen.

"depressed for no reason" have you ever heard of chronic depression & clinical depression? If not then go study about it rather than blabbering about it. Probably you have easy life so you can't understand someone's struggles & what they are going through in their lives. This is called lack of empathy. It's not easy to live with such life where nobody cares about you & loves the real you. Everytime you try hard so that someone will notice your tiny existence but it never happens. Then suddenly someone take over your body & controls it. Everyone begins to notice that person & gave their attention. Only the difference is the soul that present in that person's body is someone's. Witnessing everything how that person receives everything without any efforts how will you feel? Then after gaining control of her body, everyone started to tell her to go back to her old cheerful self coz her current self is hateful & unlikeable, will you feel like to live after this when you gained your body only to hear later Nobody likes the real you in your own body but that other self? Nobody is justifying her wrongdoings here. What she did like taking place of Huang you xuan & pretending to be her is totally wrong but everyone is empathizing & felt pity for her coz we understand what she was going through & why she became selfish. If you are talking about this then think about it, weren't li zhi wei & Huang you xuan selfish too? Huang you xuan wanted to see him but at what cost? & That scene where chen yun ru was about to end her life, Huang yu Xuan said try harder & desperately tries to save her, why? If she ends her life, then Huang yu Xuan won't able to meet li zhi wei anymore. Sounds selfish? Before that she wasn't aware of chen yun ru's mental struggles & continues to live her life in her body. Without much efforts, she gained everyone's attention & everyone started to love her meanwhile it was opposite case in chen yun ru. Oh & about li zhi wei, after realising she is not Huang yu Xuan, he started avoiding her not even considering his friendship with her. You'll now tell it's all justified since chen yun ru lied to him that she is huang you xuan, okay that's fine, but what about friendship?
He & mo Jin jie also fought before but they patched up coz they are friends. Chen yun ru came back to her normal self & wanted to talk to him but what he did? did he ever considered her as his friend? I think no, he only thought of love & Huang yu Xuan. They wanted to see each other so desperately they became selfish, not even caring ppl around them. My point here is I don't hate any of these characters, they all had their own struggles & had flaws which makes this drama's characters realistic. Try to understand their struggles & their perspectives of the world then talk about their selfish actions & why they did it.

It's just my guess tho.. normally after announcing drama adaptation it takes atleast 2 years to complete shooting then takes time for releasing it. There is another webtoon called bastard (same author as pigpen), it's drama adaptation was announced I think a year or 2 years ago but it's yet to release & casting isn't even confirmed yet:/ so that's why I'm saying, we have to wait for a long time😂😭

Hehe sure! Go & read it coz it will take 2 or 3 yrs to release drama adaptation so waiting is really long. It's better to read webtoon version besides there are chances for few changes in drama adaptation coz not always drama makers stick to webtoon plot completely so yeah enjoy reading webtoon first 👀.

Alright then if you wanna know😅 but before that I would suggest to read webtoon, it's really amazing. So, basically the whole island & family with their suspicious behaviour is all in MC's head. That family is already dead & they were killed by him long ago. He is in coma & because of his guilt it's all happening in his head he is punishing himself. He has severe schizophrenic disorder where he hallucinates listening something which ppl had never said (more of a negative things he hallucinates ppl says about him or to him) you can say more of auditory hallucinations. Also he is a serial killer. He was abused by his father in his childhood, he had mild delusional disorder at that time but his father didn't cared about it coz he was a politician & doesn't gave a sh*t about his son. I can't say whole thing btw but in childhood he was sent to another family of a village (his father sent him coz of his reputation, he thought his reputation would get ruined if this news of his son having delusional disorder & creating mess spreads everywhere). So after spending time with family, he begins to think he is their son. Also that family had a son around MC's age. The mc started to think to take his place & replace him. Fast forward, he killed him accidentally coz of his auditory hallucinations. Since then he started to enjoy the thrill of killing someone hence making him serial killer. Later, he flew somewhere to escape from police since he killed a politician. There, he went to a hotel (a family runs a hotel). After living with them, his conditions became worse. He hallucinated again & projected that family from his childhood on this family who ran a hotel then killed them. He actually forget victim's faces after killing them & those memories too, in other words it's dissociative amnesia. If you have watched shutter island & paprika (anime) then you'll understand this one easily. Basically there is no romance in it . There are hardly few scenes which is romantic otherwise it's creepy & horror story. You can checkout webtoon tho, it's amazing.

It was boring ngl. I was enjoying starting episodes but then it got draggy & cliche. Don't wanna say anything more than this but there was a character Shan Shan who was second fl really annoyed me. At first it was shown, she is depressed & all I thought there must be a tragic past in her life or maybe something horrible happened to her which made her traumatized for so long. But when the reason was revealed in later episodes, I was like "that's it?" It's just break up & he stole/plagiarised her song🤦🏻‍♀️ I agree some ppl are sensitive & it takes time to move on then be stable in life again but it's been freaking 5 years bruh?! Not only that,she pushed everyone away from her & mean to everyone without any reason. I wasn't able to empathize her tbh. She had no character development in 25 episodes. Never understood her behaviour & why she was like this over this sh*t rather than moving on from this then accepting her ex was just a jerk & he doesn't deserve her, why to ruin life over jerk like him? Apart from this, I only enjoyed osts & all of them are so good✨ I have it on SoundCloud playlist ❤️

It's the same. Some episodes has been splitted into 2 parts wherever you saw it has 21 episodes. It's average duration is 1 hr but in some websites where it shows 21 episodes has 40 min.

It's one of the best psychological thriller drama I have ever watched 😭❤️ gaslighting at its peak💀 webtoon version is also good, I loved it. I got to know about another webtoon which has similar vibes with crazy people & gaslighting stuffs it's called pigpen (go & read it if you haven't yet, it's really good & same author as bastard & sweet home). If it ever gets kdrama adaptation with good casts it will be amazing😭 siwan will be perfect cast for mc in that kdrama adaptation too

No why there is romance tag? I hate it, it's misleading people & some probably thinks before watching it that it's some p*dophile stalker sh*t story as she is 14 meanwhile he is in his 20s. There was no romantic aspect between them, instead it was more like platonic or siblings vibes they gave. He was more of a guardian to her. Author never gave romantic angle between them in manga too. I hope people are not shipping them,it's weird & disgusting if they are doing.

He is probably between 22 and 26, it's mentioned on fandom wiki website. In manga, it's only mentioned he is in his 20s.
