No worries, the novel was a good read. Plus you get more intimate scene from the ZSC.
Dont get me wrong the drama is great and i dnt mind lack of intimacy due to censorship and director choice of what will make it through the final cut of the drama. Allen Ren is one of my fav male actor based on his acting skill that kept me captivated in the most of his characters.

The whole police investigation is cause the zhou family is made of old money and very tight network. They are worth billions of dollars. And of cause when you are that prestigious there will be some legit business and some illegal business. And this is how the police got involved. Some crime gets sweep under the rug, but they cannot do anything about it. The Zhou family is very powerful as per the novel. They really water down the Zhou family in the drama.
Du Fei got involved in SY and ZSC lives just to investigate the Zhou family as undercover. Which everyone found out at the hospital that he was Interpol. From the death of the pregnant girl (this incident alone had ZSC change SY citizenship and registered marriage certificate so the Interpol have no jurisdiction to investigate them. ZSC did all this over a few days, this shows how connected the Zhou family is), to the accident in Bremen (this was more scary in the novel, they had guns firing in all direction, ZSC had his security surrounds SY as a layer of protection hence why she was so scared and shocked, this was watered down in the drama) and the illegal dealing Wen did had the whole family under surveillance.
As for the fight betwern the twins, it didn't elaborate much in the novel as well. But we could only imagine xing warning wen not to harm ZSC and SY cause she knows he's shifty.

2nd uncle is the 2nd brother of ZSC dad. Hence how he was legitly taken over the family matter and was able to give his 1st legitimate son the Zhousheng surname.

I've finish rewatching ONO and now on ep 24 for FNE. And i couldn't agree more. Watching it again you do see ZSC making alot of effort and trying to profess his love. Like how he was disappointed that she didnt want to live together when they return from Bremen, his face was full of disappointment.
And also he was the 1st to say i love you. When he put the coin in her palm when they first slept on the same bed. I read from the blog the coin signify love and only 1.
And how he got so defensive and protective of SY with Ren lmao, how he doesnt want him to bother their private love life.
Watching this makes me want to meet someone with his personality even if its half of his attentive and details omg it would be so blessed.

Ren is special to the family cause he grew up in the family network under the Zhousheng surname of the 1st son and man of the house once he grows up. No one dares to touch him or do anything bad when he is around, kinda like the CP status in the palace. Thats why with him beside SY when ZSC is way is the best protection for her. 3, 4 and 5. The 2nd uncle and Qin Wen were in a relationship before she married ZSC dad. But she was pregnant during the wedding. Therefore the twins is the kin of the 2nd uncle. No one knew of this secret. ZsC dad didn't care, he just want someone to give his beloved son a proper status.

I prefer the way the novel revealed it TBH. SY found out while they were at the hospital vising WX. Where they sat and talked about plans what to do when she gets better. And SY smiled at MX. With that smile MX said to SY not to smile at him like that. Otherwise it would be harder for him to let go. Thats how SY found out from the novel.
