Just loved watching it... Can anyone recommend something similar???
I think "Plot Love" has a similar feel to it - with lots of tension and intrigue like this. Although, in "Plot Love" the female lead is way more active as a character. Quite impressive.
Damn, this is soo underrated - I really hope that Netflix or Viki will pick it up! So many interesting stories and it also deals with difficult subjects, so I think an audience outside of Asia would appreciate it as well.
I often come back to this one because of the main leads and the interesting detective story. For me, it is okay to have the romance as an afterthought in this drama since the mystery is so good.
Is it me or does the theme music - introduction - sound like a flute version of the song from Sherlock?
To me this was such a toxic relationship! I think Hira, the ML, was too much of a pushover, being treated like a dog and not fighting back. On the other hand, Kiyoi was too selfcentered and never expressed his feelings clearly (only verbal abuse). The conversation at the end when they both finally had a talk and the subsequent cute moments could have been had earlier... leaving room for more sweet and smexy moments. (and maybe a reveal of their relationship in school with a nice story about same-sex couples. But no.) Also, Koyama, the SML was soo sweet and a green flag. He loved him, encouraged him (helped when he stuttered as well) and wanted him to be with the one he loved - even if it wasn't him. That is love. I think "Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!" is better storywise and with regards to a healthy relationship.
I love "You Are My Glory" - a bit more adult perhaps for some (and you need to stick through the gaming/space parts). However, the story was worth it - with the best kisses! In my opinion, the cdrama did the story better than the novel. I hope to see the two leads in something else!
No, according to the description it is based on a book called "Hard to Find Only Because of Twilight" by Yujing Pengxiang - I read the (badly translated) synopsis on Amazon and it seems to be about two people finding each other online and then meeting (in counseling) which sets off their love story.
Well, there was the scene where it was revealed that he gave every girl a clementine...to sort of imply that he…
Yes, that is very likely. She may have fallen asleep on her way to the test and dreamt everything. But I like the idea of her teaching a Joseon ruler the foundations of math and inspiring him to create the Korean alphabet/Hangul. I love the historical touch there. And this is what's great about this particular story - you can think of it however you like; a dream, a journey or even a time-travel romance. ( ̄▽ ̄)
Lol, I have like two eps left of Go Go Squid and I just...can't
No😅. Embarrassingly so (I might do it now, though!)...but I did read the story it is based on - "Stewed Squid with Honey" It's very sweet. Oh and I just started watching "The King's Avatar" with 40 eps🤣
I’ve just rewatched this last night and decided to update my rating to 9. After watching many dramas and movies,…
Yes, it succeeds in combining old and new in an entertaining way - with a great love story to boot. I really love the actors and hope to see them in more!
I know it's technically a happy ending but I think it's bittersweet because I still can't stop thinking of how…
Well, there was the scene where it was revealed that he gave every girl a clementine...to sort of imply that he was a bit of a flirt. So, I think he lived happily in his time - and she in her time.
Well, that ending was a cop-out; "a story within a story" which ultimately says...nothing. They could at least find some happiness in another world (hers?) Yeah, this can only be redeemed by a second season. So I hope this is an elaborate plan with that end in sight!
No you are not. I was totally confused at first while watching epi 3 with that flashback, They needed someone…
They just need better cinematography...if the first scene had blurred edges and perhaps a fade-to-black shot, then you wouldn't question it. It's still a good drama, though. (But I also had to stop and think!)
I love the scene of them waking up in ep 3 - oh, the look in Kluen's eyes! Even though he doesn't say a lot, his gaze often tells you of the love he feels for Dao. This is what makes the drama for me - the sweetness of the two.
