Todays episode was the most upsetting so far with ManMan’s death. My heart broke alongside Yetan ;( They were practically sisters and that flashback. It’s not surprising at all that Yetan will want revenge when her sister will be forced to sacrifice herself in the next episode. At this point already I actually want her to turn the world upside down especially the HE needs to be gone!
I'm seriously contemplating what will fill the gap that The Long Ballad will leave once I watch the final 3 episodes ;( Even without sad moments in the last few episodes 'm going to still be feeling emotional knowing this journey is going to come to an end soon.
Really appreciated that moment of 'enlightenment' for Changge in Ep27. It was good to see her reflect on the impact of her past actions on others, and actually start to think about what path she is going to take from now on. So far Changge has been quite lost in her journey and it didn't really feel like she knew where she was going- so i'm looking forward to seeing her start to think more about this.
Glad to see this drama getting so much love in the comments <3 Echoing what a lot of others have said this is a real gem, you probably only need one episode to find if this is your cup of tea! This drama got me out of my drama slump and had me back to taking screenshots of the (many) precious moments and having a folder for Hikaru no Go so i don't think i'll stop singing praises about this drama any time soon!
I remember just how invested i was watching this while it was airing. The ending was sad for me, even though both leads were alive, the FL went through so much and lost so much because of the ML's stubbornness. The deaths of beloved characters also made it hard to accept that ending. Not sure if i would feel any different watching it a few years later.
I'm hoping to catch up with the latest few episodes but i still do not believe that ZQ like JJ romantically, growing up they had that typical sibling relationship- arguing, teasing each other and even though there is no blood relation they always felt like siblings plus Li Hai Chao always treated ZQ like his actual son.
I want ZQ to get some closure with his mum, i really want him to be happy because he deserves the world and every time his insecurity shows my heart breaks.
So happy i stumbled across this gem of a drama, its a drama i didn't think i needed to see but once i started it i fell in love with the story, characters and soundtrack. Such a meaningful and warm family drama.
Hope this isn't the case :/ I know that there will be some sort of trade off in the next episode but really want to see Kang Dooki and Lim Dong Gyu on the same team, it would be so iconic to see them playing together again.
I loved the self-introduction idea Ho Won had, it was so original. I really would like them all to be hired and despite the mistakes that Ho Won has made I think she really does deserve the full time position because she's just grown so much in the work place, confidence wise as well. She also doesn't give in to work place politics and is honest ofcoarse that sometimes lands her in a heap of trouble but i love her for it.
She works hard and doesn't give up as and her 101 different self-introductions for her job interviews just shows how determined and sincere she is in her work. Eun-Jang-Do Fighting!!<3
What a twist for ep24!!
Really did not want Sang Hwa to be Uh Ri Ni because she seems rude and too interested in getting attention, completely unlike her younger self who seemed a lot more gentle. I was so certain Uh Ri Ni would be Ok Ran because she seemed so similar.
Definitely not a good sign when her and Ga Ryung have already started on the wrong foot :/
It seems like Uh Ri Ni/Sang Hwa has a very bad case of memory loss otherwise there wouldn't be any another explanation for her to give info on her brother and see him but not recognise him. And not sure whether its such a coincidence that Ok Ran was also separated from her brother..
Ep21 was seriously heartbreaking ; (
My heart completely went out to Gil Dong and the group ; (
The king is the worst and he just seems to be getting more evil with each episode.
And you can just see how a great a character Gil Dong has that so many people want to protect him, he has already made an impact on so many peoples lives, I just wish that soon we'll see him out of the current situation and going head-to-head against the king!
I'm also interested about which side Mo Ri will be on in the end, I know that in the first ep he was actually going against Gil Dong but I'm still hoping that we'll see him walking down a different path by the end
I was so sad during that scene and the whole flashback to when she first met Zhi Heng and Guo Long. It was so sweet seeing her want to be like humans and trying to protect Ruo Qin :'(
I had a feeling that Wen Li might like Ruo Qin earlier on but that pretty big hint in episode 32 confirmed my thoughts. Its a different take in taiwanese dramas and I like that its different to the usual secondary female falling for the lead ( Zhi Heng) and all the friction and drama that results from all of that. I'm not sure what to expect from Wen Li's unrequited love but it will be interesting to see how how everything will play out.
I especially like how there's a lot more depth to this drama and the characters in it, it comes across as a light drama but there's also that depth. For instance, Liu Ming Lei just shone for me in the last two episodes, It was really nice to see this honest and serious side to him.
Sweok Gyun and Sung Jae make an awesome team!
They totally got their revenge against the husband.
I would love for Wan & Yeon Ha to get back together and for the mum to know the whole truth before she starts throwing a fit, I wonder how she would react when she finds out about what happened to Yeon Ha given that in an earlier episode she said to Wan that the 2 people she should not be with is a married man and someone with a disability..
So although it took Suk Ho 10 YEARS to find out the truth about Sung Hyun at least he knows everything and is going to get back at Lee Joon Suk. Ha Neul-ah..Although I didn't ship them at all, I really don't like him being upset ;( Ha-Neul, ITS OKAY TO CRY!!
tbh none of the love lines in this drama interest me, I've just been won over by the genuine friendship of the ddandara boys and all the moments they share <3
The irony of the whole issue with Ha Neul's brother really hit me in ep13. The words that Lee Joon said and in my head I could remember similar words said by Suk Ho...True he wasn't prejudiced the way that Lee Joon was but the action of stealing someone else's music was the same and the reaction from the brother and the song writer was 100% the same==suicide ;(
And then for them to sing the brother's actual song in that programme!!! Its so difficult for Ha Neul and Suk Ho to get a break here...I'm just going to have to mentally prepare myself for the big revelation that will come soon and have some tissues at hand.
Just need to say as well that the brother's performance was absolutely breathtaking..His voice was just wooooow, really had me speechless, seriously with a voice like that other things really shouldn't matter <3

Only a couple of hours till ep 19 is out subbed!
I really want my own K.K.
