I have a question if you're willing to answer . Is he guilty or innocent ? because i am a bit confused by the…
I highly doubt he will be back. I say this because he got actual jail time and was found guilty in the court of law. He was sentences to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment and 3 years of probation.

No agency, producer or director is going to want to touch someone who has done jail time and was found guilty of quasi-rape. Whether it is true or not, the accusations alone have already made him a pariah.

If there is a chance he can come back though, it probably won't be for many many MANY years. It's really unfortunate how the cyber culture is in Korea. It's extremely harsh and unforgiving and netizens will NEVER let you move on.

I also want to add that I'm not saying that victims who accuse others should never be believed. Just that accusations should be taken with a grain of salt until more information comes to light. I just think that people should learn from this and take into account how their own impulsive actions to join the bandwagon after an initial accusation based on little to no evidence actually HURTS more people than doing any actual good or justice intended. I understand a lot of people mean well by trying to stand up for what they think is right but they should also make sure they are standing up for the right thing

I read several articles on it. It's good to corroborate news with different sources. I'd say the Soompi articles are the most reliable since they do cite a source but the others seem legit as well.

1. https://www.soompi.com/article/1471602wpp/ji-soo-takes-legal-action-against-false-accusations-of-sexual-violence

2. https://www.soompi.com/article/1478083wpp/ji-soos-legal-reps-share-update-on-lawsuit-against-sexual-assault-accusations-accuser-admits-to-lying

3. https://www.straitstimes.com/life/entertainment/k-drama-actor-ji-soo-sues-for-defamation

4. http://en.koreaportal.com/articles/49584/20210528/ji-soo-fights-back-files-criminal-complaint-against-false-claims.htm

5. https://meaww.com/is-actor-ji-soo-innocent-k-drama-star-falsely-accused-of-sexual-assault-accuser-apologizes

6. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/07/actor-ji-soo-drops-the-man-who-first-accused-him-of-sexual-assault-from-the-lawsuit-but-those-who-didnt-come-forward-still-face-legal-action

Because Ji Soo admitted and apologized for his school days, there is a possibility that he may not have behaved the best but you also have to consider balance of context here. Middle school years are not exactly the best way to judge someone's current character as an adult. It would be like someone judging you as a person based on what you did or did not do when you were 11 or 12 years old. I doubt there is a 12 year old kid out there who hasn't done one or two bad things in their childhood. Granted, if he did do something that harmed another he seems to be trying to rectify it. I'm not saying overlook and ignore his past actions but also he does get credit for trying to make it up and apologized. That shouldn't be ignored either.

And for more context as to why accusations should not always be believed from the get-go is this same thing happened to Ji Soo's co-worker actor Nam Joo Hyuk. Several people accused him of bullying them and now accusations of sexual harassment. This is the same exact situation as Ji Soo who was accused of bullying and sexual assault (which again, was proven to be false).

Links to articles about Nam Joo Hyk's bullying accusations:

1. https://www.soompi.com/article/1532683wpp/nam-joo-hyuks-agency-confirms-legal-action-has-been-taken-against-school-bullying-accusations

2. https://www.soompi.com/article/1533272wpp/nam-joo-hyuks-agency-denies-new-allegations-of-school-violence-after-2nd-accuser-comes-forward

This issue with Nam Joo Hyuk happened this year while Ji Soo's scandal happened last year, 2021. But for what it's worth, false accusations are actually hurting REAL bullying victims instead of proclaimed maybe-bullies. REAL victims now can't reveal REAL bullies without being severely scrutinized because of past allegations which will eventually turn into a witch hunt with the victims becoming the witch to burn.

If you're wondering WHY people would say lies about someone they don't even know, ask yourself why do you breathe? Because you just do and people just do it because they can. Especially if they have anonymity because it's the internet. And even if they are caught, in this current fast-paced technological age the law has been extremely slow to catch up to these new kinds of defamation/slander crimes and sentences are not at all severe. Maybe a fine. So, then what will prevent them from doing it again?

People may have a number of reasons why they lie and spread false rumors. Maybe because they need to vent out their frustration and project their problems on someone else. Basically, spread the pain so they don't feel as alone in their own pain. Or people spread lies because they get a thrill of being involved in a dramatic situation and are enjoying the attention that they are getting because of it. Or because they are bored and want to stir something up to pass the time. It may sound ridiculous but people in general are capable of cruelty. Even normal 9 to 5 everyday citizens like you and me.

After all this, it's taught me one thing is to not react based on emotions. It's best to wait and see what evidence comes up from either an investigation or interrogation before passing judgement. Don't pass judgement until you've gotten more information so at least you have something to base it all on instead of nothing but your anger.

Watch Flower of Evil. I’m currently watching Lawless Lawyer and it feels so boring after watching Flower of…
I agree, Flower of Evil is pretty entertaining. The mystery plot doesn't drag on too long, the pacing is decent and the romance is sweet. I consider 'Flower of Evil' Lee Joon Ki's best drama out of all the others, even Scarlet. But that's just my opinion.

It's on Netflix. Give it a watch and perhaps review it. I'd be curious to know your thoughts on it.

This is a random comment but Choi Dae Hoon looks like the Asian version of my ex-boyfriend, hahaha. I say Asian version because my ex was Spanish. They share the same prominent square-ish jawline structure and similar eyes. I first saw him in Flower of Evil and this was around the time when we broke up too so it was weird seeing someone who looks like my ex on screen in a drama I was really into. I cringed every time Choi Dae Hoon's character came on screen lolol. I don't cringe now because I'm over it and honestly think he'd make a great male lead in a melodrama. Hoping for your continued success in getting main roles Choi Dae Hoon!

Just wanted to comment that damn, I think he's a very handsome man. He may be older but beauty is not bound by only the youthful. I'm a young 30 something woman. I'd like to think that I have some attractive features and can get a date if I wanted to but if Heo Joon Ho offered to take me out on a date, I'd most definitely say yes. Lolol! I'm not ashamed to admit that I like older men, plus I just think he's a very dapper man. :) Continuing your long successful career now and in the future Heo Joon Ho!! :D

The teaser looks good! Most BL dramas turn out to be too corny by trying to copy those dramatic comic cut scenes or they turn out too cringe by trying too hard to exude the melodramatic moments through the repressed sexual tension between two characters. Haha. The teaser shows some promise that this mini-drama may not be any of those and might just turn out to be a nice well executed BL drama.

Going to say this now. I see great acting potential in him. He is quite handsome but he has a unique face and he has a bigger body than most males so gives off an interesting vibe and dynamic look to him. I think he'll be able to pull off a variety of different roles. I hope he continues to get offers! But for now, looking forward to seeing him him in Choco Milk Shake.

what did he do
Was proven false. He never bullied anyone and the letter that he posted on his Instagram was his management company telling him to do so, hoping that it would cushion the allegations. They thought that it was the best course of action but I think it was the wrong decision. This fanned the flames even more and criticism towards Ji Soo got stronger. Eventually, he was forced into early military service. It wasn't until several months after investigations concluded, they discovered that the original first post that started it all, accusing Ji Soo of bullying him in school was fake. The person who created the fake post wanted to avoid going into military service (it's required for all men in S. Korea to serve at least 2 years) and made up accusations as a way to get of out it and also a way for him to vent his own frustrations and woes. The following posts made by other people after the first accusing post towards Ji Soo were also false and created by people who either took part because it was fun, projecting their anger on others, and/or because they felt like it to see what would happen.

So, it was all fake and turns out the fans were the bullies here and the celebrity was the victim.

I've seen him in several dramas and I honestly think with his varied talents he could really pull off the male lead role in a melodrama. I could see him playing like a typical office worker guy who is despondent and meeting a spunky younger woman and falling in love with her and exploring new meanings in life beyond what he already knows.

That's not to say that I haven't noticed some changes though in recent dramas that incorporate foreign actors and their characters. Like Squid Game here with Anupam Tripathi as Ali. I can't imagine how much work and effort he put into his career to get to where he is now. Amazing actor and shows great potential and honestly.........kinda cute >_< hahahaha

I hope they leave out the cringey english speakers this season. Make it 100% a masterpiece this time
I agree. Was a bit cringe haha. BUT I think having English speakers in a drama isn't bad but I think if they incorporated other nationalities in the mix of the English speakers (British, China, South American, Germany, etc) mixed in together with an American accent, I think it would've been less cringe. Like ALL the English speakers were American. Some from different States of the US but still all American nonetheless.

I think if they diversified the nationality of the English speakers, it would've made the last few episodes seem a bit more worldly and probably less cringe. Korea as a country more or less reveres America for its wealth and opportunities or plot them as the ultimate villains as Gods of sloth and greed. Just all the stereotypes really, haha. A lot of the times, dramas who incorporate foreigners as antagonists, they are always Americans. And why is it always a big muscular black dude, or the fat old white guy, or the US military gone rogue. Just a bit of a rant on foreign characters and how they are written in a drama.

Some people like this drama, some don't. I thought it was not great. I honestly don't really care about any of the characters except one. The younger brother who was abused and tormented by his older brother, Jang Han Seo. This poor kid had to LIVE with this monster, grow up with him and had him as a blood related brother. Awful. Honestly, he was the main victim here. Not the residents, not the lawyer and not the girl. Han Seo was a victim portrayed as a villain when all he was trying to do was survive yet there was not much sympathy from the residents nor compassion towards his situation. They weren't very understanding. Even when he tried to turn over a new leaf by changing his ways and be good, they still criticized him badly. I feel for him so much and yet the writers killed him off and he died for nothing and didn't even get a chance to do anything.

This drama was pretty awful in my opinion because it tried to do way too much and was not written well to incorporate so many genres into one drama. It can be done but it takes an enormous amount of creativity and timing. This just didn't happen for this drama. Though, I will say props and claps for Ok Taec Yeon because he was truly terrifying as a villain. His character was written to be over the top monster villain which can easily be portrayed as too cartoony or unrealistic but he pulled it off and still was able to portray some dimension of realism to his villain without being too over the top.

I have to say, holding back her feelings for the king is super annoying. She is just a coward. Too stubborn to…
I disagree. Duk Im lived almost all her life living by other people's decisions and choices for her. She thought that she was living a life the way she wanted which was to serve in the palace to the Crown Prince/King to the best of her abilities and live her life with her friends. But soon she realized that her life was never her own. She could not control how her life went because other people kept taking control of it for their own benefit. Like Head Court Lady Jo who appointed her to the old library because it was near the King's study room. Having her read books so that when she became a courtesan, she would be educated enough for the position. The King's mother using Duk Im to spy on her child and to influence the King through Duk Im on multiple occasions. The Queen, influencing/manipulating Duk Im to be one of her own staff instead of the King's because she said she cared about her (which was false most of the time) but she also had the ulterior motive to have Duk Im of which the King wanted. Basically, taking someone else's toy away.

Even when the King made her courtesan to protect her, it was still not HER decision to become one. She told the King and others many times, she does not want to become a courtesan. Even the Queen, the King's mother and Court Lady Seo told her she should become the King's courtesan but she still didn't want to.

But, she cannot refuse the King if he says he wants her. She only became the King's courtesan because HE degreed she was to become one. She had no say. Even though it was with the intention to protect her, she still didn't want to become one. Why? Because, she would become his but he could never FULLY be hers. She even said it herself that if she cannot have all of him to herself than she'd rather not have him at all. She knew it from the very beginning that he would never be fully hers but her feelings made it extremely difficult to deny but she continued to say no to herself because she also knew that if she were to give in, she would be in worse pain. A King is obligated to have may partners to have as many children to survive the bloodline. To her, being a courtesan would be torture because her duty was now to simply wait for him till he comes to visit her. She can't request him to come visit or go to him. That's how things were back then if you were a courtesan. She wasn't a Queen so she would never be first priority. But she can't work because she's a courtesan, she couldn't hang out with her friends like she used to, she couldn't make friends because of her rank, she can never leave the palace so she will never see her brother. She had almost nothing. She had only the King but only when he came to visit. So, the only thing she could do is wait, forever.

The reason why she never admitted her feelings to the King was because it felt like that was the only choice/decision she could make of her own free will. It was the only thing she had in her life that was hers and hers alone. If chose to admit her feelings to him then she will have no choices left to make in her life and would be left to continue living as a living statue with nothing left. She held back her feelings because she needed to feel like she had some kind of choice in her life, some kind of control, even if it seems petty because so much of her life was already controlled and made by other people.

Title About Time
I gotta say this because it irks me so much.........the younger brother is unbearably irritating and fantastically immature. It's like he thinks the world revolves around him and the sky is made of cotton candy. The mother is also really annoying but the brother is like the epitome of a thousand face palms. From the time he suggested to break into and using the savings account that Mika scrounged up to save to when he single-mindedly insisted that he reveal the relationship between him and Sung Hee to Mika and his mother, thinking he was living one of those dramatic cliché drama moments where the ML insists upon his love for another despite the pushback and disapproval from the family.

Another moment which I found super annoying was when he got unnecessarily jealous when the secretary was just talking to Sung Hee. TALKING! He immediately jumped to conclusions and puffed up his chest in front of him making the situation super awkward for no real reason and made a stink about it to Sung Hee later as if it were HER FAULT! He is just completely oblivious to everything and everyone around him and acting like a 5 year old. So spoiled and honestly, he may be good looking in conventional means but his personality completely made him very unattractive in 5 minutes because he is such a mess. I can't believe Sung Hee could even stand to be around someone like him, much less want to date him. Blech. Awful! The writer went overboard with his character. Just too much.
On Feel Good to Die Aug 20, 2022
I still enjoy this drama from time to time. The main reason why I really like this drama is because the ML is a jerk! BUT, he's a jerk because he just is one and NOT because of some tragic sad backstory that made him turn into one. Some people are just a-holes, haha, and a lot of the time they just are that way with no real valid reason. I like how the writers created an ML that is a little more relatable in terms of reality and that he's just an a-hole because that's who he is BUT after some startling incidents, he realizes that his behavior is not really the best and still wanting to believe that he is a good person, decides to try to change and be better than who he was before.

I also really like this drama because it's one of the FEW dramas that ACTUALLY pulled off setting comedy as it's main genre with a bit of drama and romance sprinkled in. I think it's really difficult writing a drama that is majority comedy but able to insert in dramatic scenes when needed to develop the story to create more depth to it. You need to consider timing, where dramatic scenes are best appropriate without seeming forced, and create effortless comedy with quick witty execution. I believe comedy is the hardest genre to write for any kind of movie, drama, show etc. because there's a very delicate balance of timing and cleverness.
On A Model Family Aug 15, 2022
I had to drop the show after 6 episodes. Maybe that will disappoint some people but I just could not get over the stupidity of the male lead character. I'm NOT criticizing the actor who played him though because I think he's a fantastic actor but criticizing the way the character was written, that he plays. If it was just a few innocent normal citizen mistake here and there then I'd let it go because his character is supposed to be one of the average citizens in society who has never dipped their toes in the dark parts of society but after a slew of thoughtless mistakes I just could not get over it.

For example, when Dong Ha tried to find a way to launder the money, he went online to find out a way or a person that could do that for him. The thing that irked me was that he clearly did not do ANY fore-research in how these kinds of things worked. He thought he could just meet up with the dude, give him the money, and come back for it when it was clean and ready. Like a real laundromat. This isn't some legal type of service so there are obviously going to be several precautions on the service side and the clients side which is why there are always going to be some general security protocol to follow. But this guy didn't wonder or think that there would be any of that kind of stuff and just thought he could just drop off and pick up like any other legal service? If it were that easy then everyone would do it and most everyone would be locked up in jail because it was so easy. If it's an illegal thing your doing, you would assume there will be some kind of precaution from the other side.

Another example was where the money was stored. It was stored in the shed in a cabinet. But the cabinet has no locks on it NOR did he THINK to put one on to secure the bag of money inside it. He just LEFT IT IN THERE!! As if this were an open door policy neighborhood and that no one would dare open something that wasn't theirs? Eventually his daughter opened the cabinet and was curious about the huge gigantic bag and found the money and stole some of it and ran off.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE! He goes to a random telephone booth to call in an anonymous tip!! South Korea is NOTORIOUS for their CCTV camera setup in almost EVERY nook and cranny! Why did he not think that maybe he would be spotted by a CCTV when calling in the tip??? He didn't wear a baseball cap to partial hide his face and he drove right up to the booth in HIS CAR! Nevermind did he think to take off the license plate or cover it up so that police wouldn't trace it back to him.

I have like 3 other examples where his mistakes have caused trouble when they could've easily been prevented but this will turn into a bigger rant than I've already made it out to be. Normal average society people who work hard for a living the "right way" WILL make mistakes but I would think that because they know they are doing wrong, they would think to take precautions because of it. It just seems as though Dong Ha just has no foresight into anything he does and just going with the motion of the ocean with no thought that there will be no consequences as long as he does so.

Maybe some people will agree, maybe some won't but thought I'd put it out there anyways!
