Overall, I liked the drama. My only complaint and I’ve said it before,is that they could’ve done so much more with the dragon and shaman trope as it’s tagged as a romance. After episode 10, everything between the leads became so bland that I started skipping most of their scenes together. It’s like kdrama writers just woke up one day and decided the leads shouldn’t have any tension between them at all
How did the 8 foot ghost ascend to heaven? He killed the Queen and the unborn child, shouldn’t that make him an evil spirit or something , like Yeori said to the water ghost? He literally killed a pregnant woman who had nothing to do with any of this. And At first, even he was selfish enough to only care about his mother and son. The king apologizing to the villagers’ souls made sense but he had no reason to apologize to the 8 foot ghost.
How does Kang Chul still have powers? Didn’t he already become human?
This drama is either all brown or blue in every scene, probably to make it feel more serious, which I honestly can’t stand. But maybe there’s a good twist coming cause the rating is high.
Just watched three episodes. I usually love this trope but this drama was really boring. The ghost stories weren’t intriguing and felt almost the same every time. I kept skipping scenes. Does it get better?
Can’t believe I just binged ep 13 to the last. First time bawling my eyes out over a cdrama. Even though I cried at the ending, it actually made me rate the drama higher lol. For me, I’ve always felt that I can truly like a drama only when I don’t skip the supporting characters scenes and that’s exactly what happened here. This was such a well made drama. The comedy also landed perfectly. I really want to see SZE in more historical dramas. She looks absolutely gorgeous.
I don’t even like Yoon Gap. Dying is one thing, but coming back to see another guy take your place and everyone still missing him when you are back, would make me hella mad
And after the shitty ex and Sapporo plots, now it’s turning into a two faced chaebol momma storyline. Just sick of it. The only thing I appreciate is that the Head Chef isn’t in love with the ML cause most dramas would’ve pulled that tired ass arc too
Just caught up with all the episodes. They really took a different path after episode four. It feels like they rushed the romance too. I mean, falling so deeply in such a short time feels pretty unrealistic. Seriously, I couldn’t give two fucks about the whole ex and sapporo scenario. They’re wasting time with fillers like it’s a 16 episode drama or maybe that was their whole plot all along, not fillers after all😭 I just wish they had stuck to the cooking and those funny elements. Too bad, because the first four episodes were a solid 10/10 for me
Not bad but I got bored quite a few times in between. And for the romance to work, they need to hire actors with better chemistry than this. It’s not like they have no chemistry at all, but Lee Jae Wook had better chemistry with all his previous co stars. The music was really good tho🍁, it sounded different from other Kdramas
I binged until episode 6 and surprisingly, can hear birds chirping outside. No way I stayed up all night! This drama is so good But is it true that there won’t be any kiss scene? :(
Seeing how the male lead’s mother did a 180° at the restaurant after spotting her fans, it makes me think that so many idols and actors also put on that same fake personality and humility
I hope they don’t pull something like Tale of the Nine Tailed with BiBi here, since they said one dragon needs to be sacrificed to defeat the ghost. I hate seeing supporting characters die for the main leads
It’s already my favorite ongoing kdrama but I wish they’d explore the shaman x dragon trope more. I think it’s a fresh concept or at least I haven’t seen it before. But it also feels like Kdramas nowadays shy away from exploring romance like they used to
Continued till episode 20. At first, it was really good, better than other dramas in this genre, especially since it has fewer episodes, so it got straight to the point without fillers. But now it’s kind of meh. ML's character has lost all the aura he had in the beginning, which I was expecting to grow, not fade. It’s not like I was hoping for romantic fluff but a drama like this needs strong chemistry even with limited scenes and that just wasn’t there.
