This can't be an excuse for her partiality. After so many years she met her daughter yet she was so Cruel to her.…
Someone who doesn’t have empathy for her own child whom she abandoned for "a great purpose" can't be a likeable person to me. As you mentioned before,She knew her female child would get neglected, that's why she took the male child with her. Then how can she expect that her daughter will act like a "noble girl"? I know FL was rebellious but instead of teaching her with affection,she was busy with someone else's child and that someone treated her own daughter like shit. From the moment she met her daughter, she was busy finding fault in her. She didn’t even look at her with motherly affection. Most of the time characters like hers become my favourite but this woman shouldn’t be a mother at all. Even caring for her brother in law's daughter was facade. She just wanted to be a great person in other's eyes. Any redemption arc can never make me like her.
