Not surprised. As soon as they said there will only be a single episode released this week, I knew it would end on the Elimination so they can tease who got eliminated for the next week.

I am pretty sure he knew it was HanGyeol. Who else would it be. Since the part about being curious about who was in his chat came from the interview segment, we have no idea what was the question that prompted that answer.

You can tell by the date on the diary entries that the filming started on Dec 4th, lasting a week. So they definitely finished filming, but the reshoot meant they had a lot less time to edit the show that started barely a month after filming ended. The original schedule is probably their best guess of the release while they were still editing.

What happened was that there was a previous shooting of S4, but after that concluded, something came out (scandal?) about one of the contestant. Due to the difficulty of editing out that contestant, the show decided to reshoot everything. They brought back 8 of the other contestants from that failed shoot, and added HanGyeol and YunJae as newbies. MinSeong is a returning contestant from S2, but he was not part of the original shoot of S4

If you go by past seasons, there are usually a mid week catfish. So they would have to eliminate 4 in order to have enough room for the catfish to come in on Day 4.

I don't think the issue is worth the cast, since the elimination was mentioned as soon as they entered the house. It is probably because the cast is just too large. They are currently at 11 ppl when previous seasons max out at 8. Not to mention usually, they would add in another contestant midweek. It can't be easy to get enough screentime to craft a storyline without leaving reducing some of the less successful contestants' screentime to zero

yep. All 3 season of the Philippines' Sparks Camp was 1 week and Taiwan's Boys Like Boys was 6 days. Hong Kong's Boyscation is longer than a week, but that is only because it is more of an occasional gatherings than one where all of them live together.

HanGyeol might be interested in LHJ and won't vote him off, but that doesn't stop the other contestants from voting him out. 3 eliminations seems a bit much though. But I guess if the show want to introduce some midweek catfishes, they need to shrink the cast a bit

Considering next week is just 1 episode, I think we might get 15 episodes, assuming the remaining weeks are 2 ep a week. Unless they do a 1 ep release for the finale.

I still think the reason we have elimination is so they can accommodate a catfish to come in on Day 4 (they are midway through Day 3 now). So you will probably get that one more new person you wanted.

I think elimination is weird, but probably because they just have too large of a cast. Even with just the returnees, they were up to 8 already, which is the max size of the previous seasons. This is because the returnees included the catfishes from the previous shoot. So either the show do the entire week with just the returnees, or they add some catfish and new people to spice things up. However, that make the cast way too large like now, where we are already at 11. Hence Elimination

They would especially need to do elimination if they add any more catfish midweek like they usually do. 12 ppl would be insane as that 50% more ppl than all previous seasons

I agree that 1 week is too short, but I doubt they will change it even if they get another season. It been like that since the first season and 1 week seems to be the standard in other asian gay dating shows. The Boyfriend is the outlier and that is only because it is modeled more after Terrance House.

HanGyeol and YunJae are the new faces. I guess MinSeong is also a "new" face as he wasn't in the previous shoot

I don't trust the interview segments in reality shows. They can be easily manipulated by the show since we don't know the question they asked to get that response. As you said, HanGyeol was grinning and happy after chatting with Taichi, That is just a large contrast between what we see on screen and what the interview segment says.

In another gay dating show, Spark Camp, we had one couple that was acting couply all show, but then they showed an interview segment where one of them said the other person is "delulu". Who knows what kind of question was given to get that delulu response. That is why I mostly judge on the non-interview segments as it is slightly harder to manipulate those.

I feel Lee Hyeok Jin and JaeHa are the most likely elimination depending on if HyeongJun try to rally ppl against his ex. I'm not too worried about MinSung, as Taichi and HanGyeol were just mad about the room switch, but I doubt they are mad enough to vote to eliminate him. Especially Taichi as he is friends with HyeongJun, so probably won't vote to remove the person he is getting close to.

We are only getting one episode next week, so we probably won't get the result of the elimination until the week after

Yeah, I remember S1 where the show avoided showing the name of the places they are filming at, and the worker are positioned so their faces don't appear to the camera.

Sumin & Eum Hyeok Jin - I doubt they will be eliminated. They doesn't have any one pursuing them, but they also seems to be well liked by all the boys.
Lee Hyeok Jin - I think this is a definite possibility, as he doesn't seem very close with the rest of the group
MinSeong - will definitely get JaeHa's vote, but I don't see him being disliked enough to get more than 1-2 other votes, so he will only be eliminated if all the other votes are spread out
JaeHa - is a possibility depending on if HyeongJun can rally enough votes
YunJae - Unknown. He isn't super popular, but nobody is really against him so far

I think it was a joke as well. Yes, YJ did change after that. But so did 80% of the boys.
