It was very interesting when they revealed that a few of the boys had already filmed the show, but they had to…
Yeah, Park Jae Ha mentioned there was a huge problem with one of the previous participants, but I wonder what is bad enough that could cause them to scrap the entire shoot. I'm not surprised there would need to be new boys, as they need one to replace the problematic participant, and not every one can take another week off work so soon after taking another week off for the first shoot. I'm surprised they were able to get 2/3 of the cast back.
This was a great finale with out too much surprise, as everyone seems to have ended up with their consensus pick. It was a little surprising that there was 4 mutual sparks out of a group of 10. It is also crazy Spark Camps this season was only 4 days and 4 nights?? That makes it a little sad for Julio and Julian, who were both a little too passive until the end, which make no sense when the Camp was so short.
I still believe that HaroldAaron was clearly going to end up together since Ep 2, but the production don't want to make it too obvious, so did a villain-edit to add some doubts. Every camp scenes, they were clearly interested in each other. It was only the interview segments that you hear Aaron expressing doubt or saying Harold is "delulu". And we all knows that production can edit these interview to say anything they want basically. So I was not surprised that they were mutual sparks at the end. Now whether they are still together at the reunion is harder to say since now they have to deal with long distance.
So it looks like there might be a reunion episode next week?
Yep. Now the question is who are still together at the reunion, since there is usually several months in between the finale and the reunion.
My guess: JoerEdward & KimAnts: 100% still together HaroldAaron: 80% still together. I was leaning more towards 50/50 when I learned that they are LDR, but Harold also posted a bunch of couple photos after the finale aired, so that increased the odds for them being together still KhaliAndrew: 30% still together. They were great pre-fight, but that fight was bad. Andrew is willing to start over again, but I think it depends on how much Khali can change, and most of the time, people don't change.
The preview also mention something about Temptation Sparks, which would be a weird thing to add during the final Spark Giving ceremony. My guess is that next episode will be a regular Spark Giving ceremony during this final night, then the final day, we will have some kind of speed dating component with the people who you give the Temptation Spark to. Then Ep 9 will be the final Spark Giving ceremony we see at the end of the season
Yeah, but MDL is fan-edited, so could be wrong. But it is possible they drag the finale out til the 9th episode, then the 10th episode will be reunion. It make sense since the preview mentioned something about Temptation Spark.
Two updates for today for anyone still keeping up with the show. They announced during the Fan Meet that Chang won the most votes and Pond had the 2nd most. So I guess they would chose their partner for main and second main couple on the BL? Would make the most sense than forcing a ChangPond pairing.
There is a vote component that they didn't really went too much into in the show. The winner of that vote will…
Well, it is also possible they are saving that clip for the fan meeting on the 15th. Or they could air it later on the youtube channel, similar to how they put up the full acting exercise clips
There is a vote component that they didn't really went too much into in the show. The winner of that vote will…
Hard to say. Maybe they were the only one who confess their feelings and they don't want the audience to compare and contrast them with the other ships? Or maybe they wanted to center the finale around the Vibe prompts and goodbyes so that scene at the swings wouldn't fit?
You are not alone. I have no clue what I actually watched and what this was about...
There is a vote component that they didn't really went too much into in the show. The winner of that vote will be the one to win the BL role prize. Since the vote is currently still ongoing, there is no way they know the winner when they filmed the finale, so the focus of the finale was more them sharing their feelings and saying goodbyes
There is a fan meeting later this month, so they will probably announce the winner of the vote then or in a live stream.
Who is supposed to have won? I didn't understand a thing
There is a separate online vote that is still going on. So we probably won't know who won til either the fan meeting later this month or if they do a live stream. They have been releasing weekly results and it looks like Chang is the most likely winner
nothing much, just a moral emotional trip between them and making friends along the way, everyone is so positive,…

Since the vote is still happening right now, there is no way they know the winner when they filmed the finale, so the focus was more on just a group of boys in the house getting to know each other.

And in terms of dating, while they didn't outright say it, TinoChang were holding hands multiple times during the finale. They also had a scene from the preview where they were holding hands that was cut.
Sooooo, no one chooses their ship in the finale episode?? WTH was this all for then? SMH
The winner of the vote get selected for a BL. Since the show was filmed before the vote started, they had no way of knowing who will be the winner. The winner of the vote will probably be revealed at the fan meeting happening later this month. That or they will do a live stream to reveal the result
They have been revealing weekly results though, and it is looking like Chang is the most likely winner, with Pond as the runner up
Ep9 was so good and it is nice to see that the production took great care in choosing their contestants. I am so glad we got more TinoChang moments this episode and it really does seem like Chang is reciprocating Tino's feelings. Hopefully, it all works out for those two. It does seem like next episode will be them saying good bye to the house. They will probably do a live stream afterwards as an after show to discuss what it was like for them since the filming, what is was like watching the episodes aired the last few weeks, potential relationship status, and the vote results.
I have a feeling they will definitely have to manipulate the vote results so that one of the current popular pairing end up on top or one of the top 2 will likely give up their prize so it can go to the other winner's partner. There is no way they will go do a BL with the current Top 2 of PondChang.
Yall, I stopped watching this after episode 2 when the director joined the party and started talking and advising…
I just watched Ep9, and I think the best description of the show is that this is not a dating show nor is it really a BL ship chemistry show. It is a show that put together a bunch of boys and see what develop from that. It is similar to the Boys Lost in Thailand show that just started (well, less international though). Basically, if a relationship develops, great. If they just become friends, that is great as well.
I know they mentioned they stated at the start that the "prize" is a BL role, but it really doesn't seem like they put too much emphasize on that. The prize hasn't been mentioned since Ep1. They had that director (and later actor) come talk to them, but it never feel like a large part of the show. They don't even advertise the whole vote thing a lot and you wouldn't even know where to find the current state of the vote unless you stalk the show's social media. Basically, if they didn't mentioned the prize in Ep1, I wouldn't even be able to tell that there is something they are competing for.
Gay people are sidelined in real life, why would we want fiction to sideline us, too?Fiction has the power to…
Also, just because gay people are a minority in real life, doesn't mean a BL would need to include all those straight stories to make it more "realistic". That would be like making a supernatural show like Teen Wolf, but feel like you have to balance out the werewolf story with Jill's pregnancy scare, or Jack's football, or John's parents' divorce because it would be more "realistic" since most of the class is not supernatural.
(JUST TO BE CLEAR I HAVEN'T READ THE MANHWA SO I AM JUST SAYING MY POV FROM THE MOVIE DESCRIPTION FROM KISSKH)let's…
I complete agree with this. They started the show off saying how the class comes to Heesu for relationship advice, but outside of Heesu trying to matchmake SeongWon and JiYu, he never deal with other people's relationship and nobody seem to consider him an expert in relationship. It is like they add in the starting scene and then just completely forgot about it for the rest of the show. It is like starting a show saying the ML is an excellent musician, but then that is never relevant again afterwards, even as the rest of the show revolve around a music contest.
Freaken correct synopsis should be: 18-year old Chan Yeong is a tennis player. After finding out his favorite…
The worst part of this is even if the main character is Chan Yeong, it would still be a bad show, as they basically resolved nothing of half his storylines aside from the romance arc that was finished midway through the show. The tennis and the dad story arcs are left largely unresolved in the end
So... what should we categorize this drama as? Can anyone help? It doesn't qualify as BL right? In summary it's…
It is a show with a (mostly) gay POV, where the narrator is the common point that link the storylines together, but the narrator doesn't actually play much of a role in the storylines themselves. Heesu could be removed from the show and most of the storyline aside from the one with Seung Won would have played out exactly the same.
* The romance between Chan Yeong and Ji Yu would have played out exactly the same without Heesu as he played no role in them getting together and maybe as a small obstacle. But without Heesu, the romance would have gone roughly the same. * Aside from one sentence asking Chan Yeong why he isn't playing tennis, Heesu has no bearing on the tennis plot. With Ji Yu there as encouragement, the tennis plot would have played out exactly the same * Obviously, he played zero role in Ji Yu's music storyline so that would have played out the same * Each of sisters' love story did not really depend on Heesu being there as he was there mostly as an observer of the aftermath. Him being there as a sounding board did not affect how each of those love story played out. * For the third pairing, Heesu was there mostly as an observer and played no role
So how would you label a show with a gay POV but that narrator play a limited if not non-existent role in the majority of the storylines? I would probably label the show as an ensemble show with a BL subplot. But at that point, they really should just rename the show as Youths of Class 2
I love 2J, but I kind of stopped watching Cityboy_log after the storyline about the company forcing them into the closet and then they ran off on a trip. Have they showed back up on Cityboy_log since then, cause I heard the recent episodes has all been focused on the new cast

Also, they released the BTS for Ep9, which included some kisses!!

Now I am just waiting for the BTS for Ep10, which would hopefully include the TinoChang outside swing scene that they cut from the preview
There is a fan meeting later this month, so they will probably announce the winner of the vote then or in a live stream.
