Cuz we're living in the 21st century and this is a fiction.
What I mean is, people who relate to that cuz this is the era we're living in will like it, while some who want it to stay historically accurate don't really buy it. That's all there is to it. โโ (โ ย โ โตโ ย โ )โ โ
Isn't the Crown Prince higher in status than Prince Li? How does Prince Li get away with ordering the cp around,…
In addition to others' answers here, I think the Emperor himself is turning the blind eye on his older son's murder attempts towards the CP (considering he's just a sacrifice). However, that monster of a father gets angry when Prince Li's attempts could interrupt or even interfere with his grand plans...
There was one scene where these two talked concerning the assassination attempt in Lu Cheng. The emperor scolded Prince Li for trying to k1ll the CP, and that he was impatient... and that's it.. If I remember correctly, he wasn't punished.
I'd say [The Wolf]. There are many others but this is the only one I can think of.. ๐
You're welcome~๐ค It's more angsty and political, but there is romance. When compared to SL, the level is low, but it does have it's fair share of romance. Personally, I love the 2nd couple more (โ โงโ โฝโ โฆโ )๐ Oh, there's also [Les Belles].. which I highly recommend! You'll love it cuz both leads are smart, and full of antics to win over each other~ ๐ธ This can also be considered enemies to lovers trope, but lighter..
I want to love this and am interested in seeing where the overall story goes. But, I the line delivery of the…
I think you mean [Fighting For Love] with Zhang Tian Ai and Zhang Hao Wei. [Fight for Love] has yet to air~ :3
This is a bit off topic, but the ML character in [Fighting For Love] was so poorly written that he doesn't deserve to be together with the FL at all. I liked the first half of the drama, but couldn't continue until the end because of how things took a 180-degree turn. Also had 2ndML syndrome ๐ .
Back on track, Zhang Tian Ai certainly fits her role in that drama (cuz her character demands her to be that way), but in SL's case, the stories and character types of the FLs are very different. The production team and directors also want her to be seen as a feminine person here, unlike A Mai in FFL. Before being a general, Shuang is to be seen as an ordinary woman like any other. They want to show how women can also do what men can do, no matter their physical appearance or status. If we consider all these factors, FL is the perfect choice here.
Nonetheless, I understand your POV too. When we see the word 'general', we certainly have expectations of how the characters should be portrayed. I don't have any problem with her tone of voice, but I do agree with you about the 'quite muscular' part. I'd like her to be lean/toned while also staying perfectly slim, like how she currently is.

Lu Xin: You can put it that way...ehehe~

There's also The Long Ballad, The Double, Blossom, The Princess Royal, The Rise of Ning....๐ค
