It was a great drama for me, but I suggest you watch a few episodes first.. Imo, the way they solve cases are different (the approach). In TWD, layers of mystery are peeled down to get to THE ONE ANSWER, that is, who Ye Sha is, by solving minor cases related to that one big case. On the other hand, CD's cases are more independent. The cases are like stepping stones for the leads to reach the main case that take place at the palace and that final case is the one they are aiming for all along.
From my observation.. TWD = peeling down an 'onion' to reach the innermost core of the Ye Sha case (lol I'm using onion as an example cuz I dunno how to describe other than that) CD = jigzaw puzzle; piecing the evidence and related information from different sources and people to reconstruct the whole picture (which is the main case related to the FL)...
Well there r some broken logic in the storyline like...Idk what u all will say but FL character is really not…
From what I understood so far, during that rescue scene, Li Shuang ordered her men to take her brother back to the base while she covered for them with a small squad, but was outnumbered. ML has a connection with her, the blood bond, that forces him (i.e. he feels extreme pain and restlessness, or sth like that) to save her every time she's in grave danger or hurt. Thus, the scenario of our ML saving our FL from a dangerous situation is born~ (I'm still a few episodes behind tho.. X'3 )

You're just 3 episodes in, so you might feel that way. The drama is very layered, so you need to watch more to understand her stance. Zhong Xue Man is a normal woman, for one, who grew up without a mother or anyone similar who would support her throughout her whole lifetime. So it's no wonder she'll act the way she does, as she's a pampered heiress of 'The King of Constables' and soon-to-be wife of the No.1 detective in the kingdom. She had nothing to worry about and was cared for and protected by these two men. However, everything took a 180-degree turn after the boat incident on THEIR wedding day, and literally had NO ONE beside her after going through such a tragedy. Plus, Bei Ming left without any valid explanation, only to reappear after 3 years.
"Blinded by hatred".. well, who wouldn't be? We don't know what she had to go through during those 3 years. PTSD? Neglect? Discrimination by her peers and the public? We weren't shown... Again, our FL is a normal human being by the end of the day. Tbh, the first 2 episodes were a bit chaotic in storytelling (which is just my opinion); however, the buildup in the later parts was excellent.
For our ML not being able to collect enough evidence during those 3 years might as well be due to several disturbances, like Ye Sha. Like I said, you'll only make sense of it after watching it through. It's like peeling down a huge onion, filled with mystery after mystery. I don't want to spoil you since you're only at the start, so I'll just say this. TWD is a work of "trust in the process" and you'll reach your answers. We can't just imagine the characters to be all superheroes like the Avengers and return with a bang.
