Now that I think of it, maybe that's the main reason behind Xue Man's resentfulness towards Bei Ming when they first reunited after 3 years. She vented all her anger on him for disappearing from her life without any explanation, only to reappear in front of her out of nowhere, as if nothing had happened between them. As if to say, "You heartless man, where have you been all along!? You left without a single explanation, and you only show up now. What exactly is your motive?"
Knowing our FL's personality, I think this is the only way she could react as she's overwhelmed by many different emotions all at once.
