Yes! Season 1 was great~ I hope Season 2 will be just as awesome!

I see... Thanks..
The ending is so abrupt in my opinion.

"Ashes to ashes"? Is that a novel?
I don't know what that is, but because after the ending credits, they hinted us that there would be a second season.. Hence, I feel like this is a pity...

Too bad.. 😣

Best if we just enjoy what we're watching. 😄 Yes, like you mentioned, opinion is just one's thoughts and preferences. I also don't understand every little thing, such as camera angles or lighting, which AvenueX mentions in her reviews😅. I'm new too. Previously, I'd watched dramas, but not engaged in anything else that was related. The only place I connect with other drama-lovers is on kisskh, and it has only been a few months..

Once again, thanks~ ^^

As long as there's nothing toxic towards the actors, actresses and the drama itself... Some haters just smear artists' names for no reason, which is what I'm worried about.. :'/

Ahaha!😆 Told ya~ I nearly jumped out of my seat when that happened! 🤣

That's a distant relative of White Rabbit from the anime "Devil May Cry". 😆

Haha 😁~ That face off in the dungeon was truly amazing tho😆

Those people are like poison...never ending. Should avoid them like a plague at all costs.

A stellar cast, interesting plot and my favourite genres all-in-one~ When [Tempest] airs, I'll be there~ ✨

Haha~ Then, be prepared for more! 😆

Yeppp~

Yeah, the thing is, it's not about how she looks or how she dresses. It's a detective drama afterall, and like you just mentioned, Xue Man grew up with men only. I stated before that she might be better to have character growth while watching the earlier episodes, in terms of personality and what not.

Since the episodes are limited, I guess the production had to minimize any unnecessary storylines and dive immediately into the main plot.

I'm sure this has wuxia elements, but doesn't necessarily focus on that genre. What we mostly see are wholly centered on the investigation part.

Exactly! You're on point! A 3-year time skip went by in a flash for us, but for them, every second was hell and disgrace. I wonder how Xue Man had to deal with all this during that long period of ordeal, losing two of her most precious people ON HER WEDDING DAY, no less! 🥺 We also didn't take into account her mental state since the drama doesn't focus on psychological elements, but I'm sure she suffered mild PTSD too... AND, she was left all by herself after that incident...😿

Now I wanna slap myself for being a bit harsh on her character in the earlier episodes. I've misunderstood her.. 😢😣 We must protect our baby Man-Man at all costs! X'(

To be honest, it's a sad outcome. Despite that, in my opinion, this was watchable compared to some other male centric wuxia dramas. Well, it's a revenge story afterall.. :'3

The father and mother are both my favs too! It's a pleasant surprise to see them again in a historical drama ^^~

I think in that scene, he saw himself (his past self, to be more precise) in that stranger who entered the city. Zang Hai was just like that person when he first set foot at the capital, full of anticipation, and a life mission to accomplish.

Thank you!
