If we look from a positive POV, the screenwriter is giving us the ending all of us viewers have always wanted before in other historical (especially transmigration) C-dramas~ It's also somewhat sarcastic, how some creators wouldn't let their characters have ultimate happy endings...

It's a happy ending.. although it's a rollercoaster ride in-between but I guarantee it's worth it.
