that was unexpectedly quite good. Japanese dramas have history of f#cked up endings but this one was fine. I almost…
I bawled my eyes out in the latter episodes.. Their chemistry and bond on-screen were undeniably beautiful. Despite no 'romance' tag in the drama, I could feel something more going on between the main leads.
just curious what your favorite scene(s) is/are so far? mine is definitely that drum scene, idk how many times…
There are many of my favourite scenes to count, but the drum scene and Li Shi Liu's (& his Wanning River Crescent gang's) entrance scenes are at the top of my list. I can't sit still whenever the song "God of Night/ Night Walker" starts playing. I was WOWED every time. Another memorable scene is the proposal scene and snippets of their married life! They are so heart-warming and natural. Oh, and that iconic "jump off the cliff" scene! LOL I can still remember Nan Heng's scream XD! Both Liu Yu Ning and Li Yi Tong nailed their roles. Despite the harsh criticisms towards 'Song Yi Meng', I think she is one of the most relatable characters in comparison to all the heroic and sensible main characters we see all the time on-screen. Her character is like a breath of fresh air.
Cant wait. And this one too!https://youtube.com/shorts/nUkyCFvr7IQ?si=OnG5sH8ErXzXE_-M
Btw, I just read some of your comments (avoided spoiler-tagged ones). I'm gonna start watching eps 33-34 now and it seems like some angsty stuff will be coming into the picture... I'm both anxious and excited to start lol
Can someone explain the white head same heart joke? Why did Song YiMeng translate it like that?
I think what Nan Heng wanted her to translate means, "To grow old together until their hair turns grey, and always love each other and stay united"; but she directly translated each Chinese word into English which sounds funny XD
Wondering why the drama is called "Dream within a dream" could it be a random girl is dreaming of her becoming…
I've been wondering the same thing every time I watch this. In the preview of the upcoming episode, where the 2 main leads are lying on the bed, Nan Heng mentioned that Song Yi Meng may also be a 'paper person' like him, and that her original world, in which she was an actress, might also be a world inside a storybook. This may also be a possibility, and as another person has mentioned above, the title of this drama itself is a HUGE HINT. It's just right under our noses.
When the drama ends, we're all gonna become philosophers at this rate. 😆😅
