The drama and its characters really live up to the name that revolves around 'fate'. Cuz whatever happened in the plot were one's choices and also the consequences of the path they took, be it good or bad. However, those choices were sometimes caused by something they couldn't control, like how Sui Ge and Yi Xiao, met as sworn bitter enemies, but ended up as inseparable lovers of the century~

Ohhh~ I didn't think that deeply enough. Now that you mention it, during those episodes, chills went down my spine watching old Murong on a k!lling spree.. yikes! Tbh, if the Empress hadn't agreed to his "request" to save Murong Yao, he might've also k!lled her on the spot.. My initial take was, because he was driven to the corner with no more hope left, Murong Zhong took on the 'villain role' to protect what's important to him (i.e. his son), whatever the costs.
