Even if she hadn't gone down the wrong path before, with her current state, she should rest, and just do her princess things.. Ruling a country isn't some child's play. It would've been a bit acceptable with Cheng Yang still sitting on the throne with Sui Ge helping him, but Sui Ge is the best choice here. They've already given a lot of leeway to several characters. Can't think of any valid reason. Her using whatever wits she had during her stay in JinXiu was simply relying on survival instincts and her luck. If the emperor hadn't taken a liking to her, she wouldn't even be able to act the way she did, let alone move around freely. And she would constantly threaten Xia JIng Yan with HER life, cuz she knows he likes her and she's still useful to him.. Even if she was a quick-witted person, handing over political affairs to a broken person just to shift her attention is unreasonable at all...

Read spoilers about this ending, too.. (at ep38 but still watching) It's a happy ending for the leads, but I wasn't expecting that at all.. Why Xi Yang when there's Cheng Yang? I know they agreed to let him leave with his mother to guard the former emperor's mausoleum, but I think Cheng Yang would be a better choice. Xi Yang made a lot of bad choices before.. Sui Ge is the best choice, tho.. :'3 *sigh*

I was actually surprised by Xia Jing Yan's behaviour. He was really in love with this princess. I even felt that it was endearing when he was jotting down baby names for his and Xi Yang's baby, that I almost forgot what kind of person he is... If only they had met earlier, and I mean very early on... Will that have changed him a bit?
