A true example of 'enemies-to-lovers' trope~ ✨ Yes yes! Hmm, this is purely my opinion.. It's a little hard to say since only 5 episodes have been aired. For now, the main events happening are Su Mu Yu and his trusted subordinates trying to get their patriarch out of harm's way and curing him. They're still engaging in a cat-and-mouse game, while showing us a few flashbacks here and there about Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He's pasts. I find it interesting, still~ True to its thriller and wuxia genres, the fight scenes are super realistic and breathtaking, and the cinematography is on-point!
It's awesome, Amy! From the characters to the plot, and especially their action choreography, are all amazing~ It has a balance of both dark vibes (true to its assassin-theme), and bits of comedy and heart-fluttering moments here and there~ To be honest, I was surprised! I was prepared for a super dark drama with lots of angst, but as of episode 5, the balance is great~ (It's a feast for the eyes too~ The wardrobe designs are so beautiful! X3) I'd say it's brilliant~ ^^
[Blood River] has served us a huge feast on a silver platter; not just a simple meal, but a full-out 'buffet' of flying swords and jaw-dropping martial arts~✨
