An actor is an actor after all. An actor does not have to love a woman to act like he loves her, so it is the same if the woman happens to be a man. Honestly, if you are straight and not ready to act romantically with whatever genre, just don't pick up the movie role and let another better-skilled actor to do the job properly.

An amazing performance I have seen recently is "Method", a korean bl movie. Check it out if you haven't yet it is awesome!

I admit that the smirk surprised me because at first it felt out of character. However it totally fit his mindset that lowly human should not be so resisting in front of his sword.
Anyway I feel that Miyavi gave the right vibe as Byakuya! I wonder how he would act the plot twist of the following arc if they ever make a movie about it. Well with this ending they can do whatever
