I agree that's why the suspense was kept until the very end. i think he LIKED her but the he realized he LOVED him - so he went after him at the end - he was no longer confused/denying his romantic feelings towards MC i like clean, explicit though, so a bonus episode or a 2nd season would be definitely welcome

My take is: the last kissing scene is the first scene of ep1 - which was the happy birthday wish of our MC. Now it's clear that at the end ML is rushing to the airport - on foot, but still - maybe he's running to the main street to catch a taxi or whatever, hahaha.
Then the kissing scene pops up. For me it means either: 1) that - long story short - MC's wish came true, this is happy ending 2) that at that moment ML wished to kiss MC, hinting at their reunion later at the airport
Anyway this was so sudden, so rushy. but it's fine i got it - tbh i don't expect more from a 6ep 8min story
Overall i'm rating it 7.5/10 The acting was stellar btw i was surprised to get emotional with ML. Though i definitely could not predict whether he loved MC romantically until the end. I could relate to MC to some extent - Keiko(?) was also a nice character.
edit- just rewatched. the kiss is the last flashback. initially he already had the 2 flashbacks of MC saying he wishes he's happy and that he wants to stay by his side forever. at that time maybe he didn't share/understood MC's feelings, but now he realized so he's having the same final wish to be lovers / kissing scene. Also please notice how he's running, starts getting tired but still push himself to continue running hahah i don't think he will let him go this time - it's time to confess at the airport guys

As a beginner you have the opportunity to binge watch the BEST of dramas, the top selections of drama out there just waiting to be discovered by you. I suggest you just type in google and pick a drama from "Best [romcom/melodrama/action/medical/whatever genre you like] drama of all time + add country like korean or japanese if needed.
Also, as a experimented watcher, please take this advice: do not hesitate to watch a drama. If you don't feel it/like it from the 1st or 2nd ep, just drop it. It is up to you, it is not mandatory to finish every drama, Just put it in your dropped list with a comment why you dropped. If you are young, you might try in a few years and revisit the drama in a different perspective and finish it / like it.
Anyway, if the tags and plot summary don't repulse you, just give it a try :)
A solid 9 for me, i marathoned it, it kept my attention all along despite the cooking theme i don't usually go for, the romance was great, loved the development between the 2. It was not perfect but it ticked many boxes, this clearly deserves the attention it drew
