Yes, she did understand he's been lying. Why? Maybe because he wanted to throw her away to get back with Se Ra. She couldn't think he wanted to protect her from getting hurt because of his disease! With that in mind, would it seem logical with the personality of hers if she did all the things you said? No. She's not a girl who makes people uncomfortable, the best choice she had was to go in France. And she did good since she encountered great success. No, she didn't go to be lovey dovey with Daniel. And the fact that they are not together after 3 years is the proof. I admint Daniel loved her from the start (or so), but he never got in the way!! (Besides Daniel was going to leave with or without her).
