I mean yeah I'd assume so, but I kinda thought this would be like Descendants of the Sun (kdrama) where most of the drama is set in the foreign country.
I did not read the description and I definitely thought they'd spend most of this drama in the East Country. I guess that this is probably going to be a sad drama.
binged this in like 5 hours I'm not gonna remember anything about this in two days but it was okay. Nice romance, nice chemistry and pretty solid enemies to lovers arc. Also when was this filmed? The editing and CGI feel old for some reason.
I'm not gonna lie, I was watching this when it was airing and I completely forgot this at like episode 28. I skipped through to see the end and I literally did not remember anything that had happened previously. I think this drama was very forgettable despite the insanely intriguing beginning. A shame tbh since the chemistry was very good in the beginning.
Oh Jun Hwa okay ... um yeah. Jung Gong Joo slayed with the acting though. Sexy psycho was not on my list of things I was expecting in this show but... I'll take it. If you need a love triangle where the third just doesn't believe he doesn't have a chance, make him a villain. Like honestly you are already kinda crazy at the point where you blatantly refuse to believe you have no shot.
Surprisingly, quite enjoyable so far. My only complaint is the psycho second fl. Hope she steps on a landmine as soon as possible. I'd usually say: get therapy, but I don't think therapy can help you if you're so delusional that you go into a warzone just to seduce a guy who obviously does not like you.
I started this drama after seeing a short clip of beautiful people with big eyes. Idk what I thought I was signing…
Genuinely, this was visually one of the most beautiful dramas I've seen in a while. Very distinctive style and costumes, all in a specific style that fit the drama. Wen Xiao's character was in my opinion a bit dull compared to the rest of the cast, but that just my opinion. Overall I'm just laughing at myself for clicking on this for pretty people, maybe expecting a nice romance and getting... well the rolled coaster of emotions and pain that I just went through.
I started this drama after seeing a short clip of beautiful people with big eyes. Idk what I thought I was signing up for, but it wasn't this. Why didn't anyone tell me that this was the most painful cdrama out there??? I already finished watching and I'm still crying.
Jun Hwa blaming Eun Ho for only liking Deok Su now that he knows she is a girl was shitty and wrong ... he has literally watched Eun Ho's ass staring at Deok Su for a long ass while. I hate where the plot is going. I wanted to see the group thriving together but now it's just betrayal, lies and jealousy all around. The confession scene and our leads getting together were frankly disappointing. We know that Eun Ho has been pining for Deok Su since forever ago but Deok Su has only had a few moments of finding Eun Ho attractive. The existing feelings don't justify this fast pacing.
Definitely not one of my top xianxia dramas but this was still entertaining, well acted and the chemistry was good. Interesting to watch and the costumes were cool (but extremely maximalist, almost distracting from the dialogue because I kept staring at the little details). Quite a few annoying plotlines though and I do feel like they relied on the viewers forgetting the earlier episodes so that Fu Ling's character would be more lovable, but let's be real her character did a whole 180 turn. They should have at least tried to show her feeling some remorse or doubt for her actions in the earlier episodes. Some parts of the ending were a bit predictable. I did think most of the characters were going to die and I was right. They also overused the hell out of that ost and it became almost annoying by episode 40. It's a good song but maybe not use it for EVERY SINGLE SCENE so it has some impact... Overall, pretty good but nothing life-changing.
So Fu Ling is Bai Shuo's sister and she killed their dad. She is so going to die. There is absolutely no way they will be able to spin this story and her evil actions into a redemption arc unless she dies to save Bai Shuo.
I liked all of them before watching this show but I'm gaining a newfound love for Dong Yeon. Such an amazing guy and I'm surprised he is the same age as Eun Woo. Eun Woo feels like a teenager to me while Dong Yeon seems super mature and independent. Je Hoon not knowing how to make scrambled eggs was super weird. Koreans and their health/skinniness obsession is insane to me because how do you work out 2.5 hours a day but you've never cooked anything?? But anyways this show definitely seems like a needed 'vacation' for them. Ps. what's up with the music? Are they going for comedy because I think I burst out scream-laughing at the Sherlock theme song.
This was honestly the best BL of 2024 and 2025. The story was interesting and consistent from start to finish. The time skip made sense and wasn't a ridiculous 12 years or something like that. I also appreciate the realism of the special episode although, as a viewer, it felt quite sad. I hope one day we get a j-bl where they get married, and it will be a realistic ending as well. I think I will remember this for a long time. Definitely one of the best japanese bls but also one of the best bls period.

This is the first time I've thought 40 episodes wasn't enough.

Who is even gonna be alive by episode 40...?
l hope he isn't because it would be insane.
It's probably wheelchair guy
