I agree, these last 2 eps were very sad for Zhu Jiu she's the only brave one here, I would love her to leave Beijing after the funeral. Go back to Country M and spend time with children she was caring for to heal from heartbreak from Yun Shen in my opinion, Only then Yun Shen will realize that Zhu Jiu will always be the woman he should be with and leave his toxic manipulative mother. This plot is just my wish to happen. I'm tired of seeing them in this melodrama too many tears, too many annoying, supporting characters.

I feel the same way, I have lowered my ratings to 6.5 from 8, the story is draggy. I was hoping some progress on romance, I'm disappointed on the storyline. I don't know how long I can wait for them to be happy as a couple.

She's one of those Moms who are using their adult son to gain power and profits in business with evil intensions causing harm to others. Plus she likes Zhi Zhi to be her daughter in law. Always a trope for this kind of dramas, I disliked the most.

The Mom was trying to break them up in the past episodes where she was taking care of Yun Shen in Heidelberg.

I love modern dramas like this. I think Cheng Yi is perfect for the role. His character should start being fierce in action in protecting what is his (business & girlfriend) and we're seeing that develop. I would prefer for Yun Shen to remove the obstacles for Zhu Ji 's love for him. I can't believe that she was physically bullied by his mother. I would not allow that to happen if I were him. None of this keeping secret & not communicating with the issues, that's how loving relationships build. For next episodes, can't wait.

Excellent review, this kept me on the edge and curious for FL who she really was married to what kind of man he is. But I love rom/com genre more than psych/thriller. I like the ML in My Lethal Man, he's such a good actor for his age. Hope to see him more in swoon worthy roles.

I agree with you, more of friendship, betrayal and making choices in life story than romance. I liked the less make-up, or no make-up look on them. I also watch this because of Xiao Zhan.

I saw Peng Guan in Two Conjectures of Marriage drama that was frustrating; I was planning to watch him thinking this time he will have more of a romantic character role but based on current discussions his character is still a selfish inconsiderate also toxic? The actor needs to avoid typecasted this way.

The drama title was at first intriguing me, now I get it why, the " fireworks" means" sparks" not literally. Main Couple started on fast marriage proposal before falling in love, no chemistry in the beginning. As the story progresses, it all changed, misunderstanding, jealousy, assumptions and listening to other's opinions that I truly dislike. Just finished watching.
Loved this modern drama with a cultural and moral values. Showcasing craftmanship, local art talents, embracing and learning from them, and respect for the elderly and most vulnerable ones. Am very happy with the ending It's a 10 for me. I wish I can see more positive story plot dramas like this. No annoying SML and SFL characters. The most thing I liked was the reversal of role where the female lead is portrayed as strong support to her man not just a wife but an equal partner. I respect both of them.
