Frankly speaking I both liked and hated the old Kang ho...like he's grey so I can't chose sides I love this Kang ho better, he's free in expressing his opinions he's transparent and likeable though I'd like to know more about the real intentions of the old Kangho as well
Youngsoon has held alot of things in for a long time...she is literally depressed but has to go on because she has to think about her son and everything.........she needs healing like real healing......both mom and son deserve happiness.....iam crying while writing this literally 🥺😭
Making her miserable or sick or whatever will not make me love her, she is still for me a bad selfish mother
She was a bad mom because she made some choices for her son that came rather off as harsh she's not selfish because even after her son being ill she stood by him regardless of how he was treating her.....plus her I'll ness isn't an element for you to feel bad for her...keep hating her character for as long you want......you still can't deny that regardless of her faults as a mom she was still not the worst

Kindly do...if you can't take the main plot like come on they clearly stated his accident and they showed him getting that selective memory loss in the trailers so whose fault is it now😂😂
Her being sick isn't some kind of pity party for viewers to change their minds about her...you can keep hating her for being a bad mom all you want( despite her not even being the worst) but frankly speaking she couldn't have been the worst human being as to go through everything that has happened to her..........
Can I say iam glad they told us about her health issue earlier....rather than forcing it down our throats in the ending episodes like most dramas do, now we know and can adjust our emotions accordingly
Iam loving how the story gets better and progresses more..it just gets super depressing..and I can handle that much
Most of the characters in this show are morally grey...( Bad and good) so it's quite human to both root for them and then feel like beating them up what iam trying to say is personally iam not white washing any wrong doings, iam trying to look at things a larger view point....trying to think about what they actually did and why they did it before I call them bad which they might be and which they might not be ...you don't really expect me to have a side iam literally in the middle of trying to understand their bad decisions while calling them out on them at the same time iam praising what I believe they did good....this is something we need to get used to because we way past the time when lead characters were some perfect human beings they are becoming more grey, relatable and human...so that triggers alot for me as a viewer. But it's quite clear here....you called unthoughtful if you try and understand the mother....while you called a simp when you trying to be neutral on what kang ho must have done....like not calling him bad and not calling him good....

Okay iam loving how this is so connecting in a way that it arrouses every ones point of view.....like you start relating it to real life and the sentiments of the characters...love that
My point being this: the writer + director are not treating the neglect Kang Ho faced in his childhood with sensitivity.…
You can't build Rome in one day, she's not going to fix her strict and desparate modes of parenting in a glimpse we are seeing a process so as much as it's hard to digest she's not going to shazarm into your perfect mom in just a blink of an eye.....it's a process....
The series is called THE GOOD BAD MOTHER for a reason she isn't the most perfect mom in the world neither is she the worst mom in the world iam just saying if there were awards then wouldn't win both....let's see why is she a bad mom, she literally trumatised her son into not having proper meals...forced him to constantly study and not have any fun with friends she had her reasons but that's not the point here......then why is she a good mom...she gave birth to her son first of all she well technically did her best to raise him up she catered for him after the accident praying for him even going to church which she Cleary said she didn't believe in cleaned his wastes and tried to push him into using his reflexes....so here is one thing she did that makes her both a good and a bad mom equally she “ starved" him so he could push him self into using his reflexes this is what every one is talking about....well iam on a two way here she starved him when he needed nutrition and she could have used many more other ways to push him into using his reflexes.....but she personally said “ let me be a bad mom one more time" you could literally see her pain when she said those words.....guys she isn't the best but she can't be the worst....she has her flaws and no we are not justifying her actions we are just seeing things from her point of view we putting our selves in her shoes......She is a good bad mother.....she's gonna do the bad things for the good of her son but that won't take away the fact that they are bad.....meanwhile she will do something good for her son but of course as humans we shall compare that good to the bad and we'll end up calling her bad......

She's a bad mom and she's realising it or atleast I should say she's realising the methods she used were not the best despite her good intentions attached behind those methods.......so for those saying she doesn't deserve forgiveness or redemption.......I disagree.....she deserves to get a second chance to treat her son right .. without the pressure from having to make him a prosecutor but raising him as her child..correcting her mistakes and mending their relationship......we all make mistakes but a person who realises their mistakes and tries to correct them regardless of how late it might be deserves a chance of rectification...... you can really tell that those words Kang ho said crushed her......she suffered just by hearing them she realised that she caused him so much psychological pain and torture and now she needs to fix that.
Okay I don't know what some of you expected yes we all expected a healing drama but would anything let's say would his accident have even made sense if they didn't give us a back story of how he and his mom's relationship is what caused it how it happened to be that way giving us room to see both of their lives only with these two episodes can we actually get the heartwarming feeling of them becoming closer to one another healing each other and solving their issues together...so yes the first two episodes were part of the story....they played a huge part on what we going to see in the future...
